I was BEYONDĀ excited to get my Handmade Easter Egg at the Candy Palace while I was in Disneyland for the 2017 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival!
Why? Because this annual tradition of getting a Chocolate Easter Egg filled with FUDGE only hops up for a limited time and ā hereās the kicker ā while supplies last.
These gorgeous creations ā just LOOK at all that thick chocolate and red flower detailing on my egg! ā arenāt easy to snag.
And this is where the whole handmade thing comes in: only a limited number of eggs are made each week, with each weekās batch offering a different flavor or two.
You may find up to two different flavors up for grabs on your visit. In any case, be prepared for some variety of Chocolate Cream, Chocolate-Nut, Vanilla, Vanilla-Nut, Black Walnut, or Peanut Butter to be available. Hereās a look inside aĀ Peanut Butter (my favorite!) Egg.
In fact, you can read reviews of the Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Egg here and the Vanilla-Nut Fudge and Chocolate-Nut Fudge EggsĀ here.
Basically, you gotta plan to get to the Candy Palace as soon as possible and you might grab one if youāre lucky.
AndĀ we have to take a moment here to note that this is the first easter egg season that we no longer have the amazing Chef Rob McHargue at the Candy Palace. Chef Rob passed away suddenly in December, 2017, and heās sorely missed at Disneyland. He was beloved by fellow cast members and Disneyland guests alike.
Thanks to Chef Rob for suppling us with homemade candy canes and easter eggs and everything else magical for so many years. He was the true embodiment of a Disney legend.

Never but been there, but they look awesome! Do they ever do these in WDW?
Essie ā Iām afraid not. Disneyland gets all the cool traditional stuff. š
