These Epcot Food and Wine Festival Dishes Are Totally Worth The Mess!

The 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is ON! And because we love you guys SO much, we went ahead and tried evvvverything at the fest so we can help you narrow down your top picks!

Hello, Food and Wine Festival!

We’ve given you a look at all the items at each booth, a peek at merchandise available, special event info, Eat to the Beat concert lineups, as well as our top picks from the fest this year. But if you’re anything like us, there’s so much to sip and taste that before long you might end up WEARING more of the food than you manage to get into your mouth! But we’ve got a list of a few that are totally worth the necessary wet wipes!

Wuxi Spareribs at China

These Wuxi Spareribs are difficult to try and navigate with a plastic fork and knife!

It’s much easier to give in and eat these glazed ribs with your fingers. Be sure to grab a napkin to clean up when you’re done! Check out the rest of the China booth’s offerings here!

Smoked Corned Beef at Flavors from Fire

Oh smoked corn beef, how do we love thee?

Seriously, this is one of our favorites from the fest but just go into it knowing they’re a bit of a mess to handle. If you are lucky enough to get a LOT of the amazing Blonde Ale Beer Fondue like we did, you may end up with cheese all over your fingers!

These are best eaten by scooping up each potato chip with a big hunk of corned beef and some of that yummy cheese. Licking your fingers after should be mandatory! See the rest of the Flavors of Fire booth here!

Costine di Maiale at Italy

Another one of our top picks from this year! (Ribs are having a moment at the festival, clearly.)

These come in a very generous serving size and the sticky Balsamic glaze tasted great on the pork ribs, but like the spareribs in China, these definitely require your hands. They’re worth the messy fingers though, and are super sharable! Grab a handful of napkins and dig in! Check out the rest of the Italy booth here!

Let’s move on to something a bit sweeter! The Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar offered a Shimmering Strawberry Soft-Serve that’s totally new this year.

It’s nothing particularly extraordinary, but it’s the PRESENTATION that’s key! If you’re in the mood for a sweet strawberry ice cream cone, this will fit the bill nicely. But if you have a pink- and sprinkle-loving princess with you…well…how could you NOT get this?!?

You can see from our picture though that this bad boy is not a fan of the Florida heat — it starts melting almost immediately! Guests at Disney are no stranger to drippy melting ice cream, but if you add this to your list for food and wine, bring a whole load of wipes!

Mini Funnel Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream and Sangria Mixed Berry Compote in the American Adventure

Head to the year-round funnel cake stand in the American Adventure and you’ll find our last pick for the messiest of the fest.

This mini funnel cake is covered in sticky sweet berry compote AND a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If you’re careful, you can pick through it with a fork or spoon but it’s not easy! This tasted great, but if you’re looking for alcohol the sangria flavor in the berries was lost to us. Check out more about this stand here!
