It’s not even Halloween and we’re already thinking about hot cocoa and Christmas trees! Can you really blame us?
Walt Disney World JUST announced what Christmas will look like at the theme parks! EPCOT’s International Festival of Holidays is making a return, Cinderella Castle is getting a makeover, and there will be holiday snacks aplenty. Now, you can’t have all these holiday goodies without Mickey wreaths and Christmas trees! Here’s when Disney is planning on decorating for Christmas this year!
Disney World will be decked in festive décor between November 6th and December 30th. This date will also launch holiday merchandise, food, drinks, and entertainment all over Disney World! All four theme parks and Disney Springs will be hosts to festive gear and goodies. Plus, Santa Claus is comin’ BACK to town! Jolly old St. Nick will make special appearances at each location for Christmas wishes and sleigh-ing selfies!
Although Disney World has canceled Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, they are still finding ways to celebrate the season! Disney World is magical on its own, but once you add a few ornaments it’s absolute perfection! We’ll be keeping our eyes open for more magical holiday updates. Seasons Greetings, everyone!
See when EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays is returning here!

So does that mean November 1st thru 5 there isn’t Halloween decor or Xmas decor 🙁
Jazz, that’s hard to say. Sometimes the decor changes very quickly and sooner than the start date. But we’ll update when the changeover happens.
So excited to see these dates as this is the first year we will be in WDW while it’s decorated for Christmas. And while some events will be canceled I will appreciate the ones that will continue while we are there! Thanks for the info!
When is the food and wine festival over this year? I will be at Disney nov 16-23 fingers crossed that it will still be going on🤞
Do you know if any restaurants are doing Thanksgiving feasts the week of Thanksgiving this year?
Melissa, no specific end date has been announced, but I would expect you’ll be able to experience it this year. The Festival of the Holidays begins November 27, and those festivals tend to run close to each other.
