Guests at Shanghai Disney Resort will soon be able to take part in new virtual reality experiences!

Shanghai Disney Resort is currently celebrating fall, complete with plenty of Halloween fun for guests to enjoy. But starting next year, guests will have a whole new experience to look forward to!

Disney has announced that China’s leading virtual reality company, SoReal, is coming to Disneytown, the shopping, dining, and entertainment district at Shanghai Disney Resort. This new VR offering will provide guests with a tailored and cutting edge entertainment experience.

SoReal will occupy the majority of Disneytown’s Lakeshore building, turning the bright and colorful structure into a large-scale virtual reality and entertainment space.

The experiences SoReal is set to present in Disneytown will be specially tailored for guests, allowing them to become fully immersed in new virtual reality and augmented reality simulations.

The new virtual reality experience will join the other shopping, dining, and live entertainment offerings currently available in Disneytown. Construction on the project is set to begin soon and the new SoReal experience is currently expected to open to guests in 2021.
