EPCOT is practically buzzing with foodie excitement today!
We’ve been visiting each Holiday Kitchen at the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. We discovered yet another holiday treat at L’Artisan des Glaces, but it’s not part of the festival. In fact, it’s not even on the menu!
L’Artisan is famous for whipping up eye-catching Ice Cream Martinis made with a generous helping of ice cream and spiked with a splash of alcohol. Occasionally, the shop will pop a signature macaron on top for good measure. This is the kind of drink that makes EPCOT guests stop dead in their tracks just to get a look. The Pumpkin Mac-Tini is still on the menu, but the gingerbread ice cream has arrived for the holidays. So…we got a brilliant idea!
You can make a custom martini from any ice cream and your choice of alcohol. We did just that with the gingerbread ice cream and a shot of chilled rum. The top was covered in chocolate sauce for good measure. The drink ended up being $12.25. If you want, you can purchase a macaron separately to place on top, and voila! You’ve got your very own Mac-Tini!
The martini ended up being just as delightful as you would think! The gingerbread ice cream has a great holiday spice taste and is absolutely creamy. The rum was great but very strong. We suggest trying it with the Whipped Cream Vodka if you don’t want it to be too strong.
It’s the first day of the Gingerbread Ice Cream Martini (with spiced rum!!) at L'Artisan des Glaces also! pic.twitter.com/mCysOpgMEn
