We’re really looking forward to seeing EPCOT’s new nighttime spectacular — Harmonious — in action once it’s all complete and ready to go.

Harmonious Barge
We’ve already seen some of the barges that will be used in the show out on the water in EPCOT, and we’ve even seen some testing of a special grid for some of the technology that will be used in the show. But now we’ve got an amazing look at some of the progress being made on this show that’s a bit more behind the scenes.
These aerial photos were posted by Bioreconstruct on Twitter and they give us an awesome look at the barges being prepared for the show, some of which are currently in a backstage area. In the photo below you can see the GIANT ring-shaped barge that will serve as the centerpiece of the show. It definitely looks like things have progressed compared to what we saw in December. The barge has two arms on each side that should be able to move. We’ve already seen some barge arms being tested previously.

For reference, here’s some concept art of what the center barge is meant to look like when it’s in action. You can see those arms opened up on the sides.

In another photo posted by Bioreconstruct, you can see some more pieces that appear to be for the facing of the ring.

You can see the work area here along with the center barge and what appears to be two more side barges in the back.

The show is set to feature custom LED panels, moving fountains, lights, lasers, and pyrotechnics. It will “celebrate how the music of Disney inspires people the world over.”

We’re definitely on the lookout for more updates about this show and an official opening date. Stay tuned for more updates!
