Since the pandemic began in 2020 and shuttered global travel, Adventures by Disney has provided numerous updates on canceled itineraries as well as updates to their flexible cancelation policies.
Today, new updates have been announced regarding fully refundable trip deposits for upcoming itineraries in 2021.
Note: Some of these policies were extended since the time of our original post. Below are the latest updates.
As of right now, all new bookings of Land Adventures, Escapes, and River Cruises made through December 31st, 2021 for travel through March 31, 2022 are eligible for fully refundable deposits up until the final payment date.
Disney has also updated their final payment policy for select bookings. According to the website, the final payment date for reservations made for Land Adventures and Escapes that travel through March 31st, 2023 has been modified to be 65 days before departure.
If you’re planning a Buenos Aires departure, a Private Adventure, a river cruise sailing, or an expedition cruise sailing, however, those are excluded from the modified cancellation and final payment policy. If you want to learn more about the deposit, payment, and cancellation policies that apply to those trips, you can visit the Adventures by Disney website.
Again, when it comes to final payment updates, the website shares that for select bookings that travel through March 31st, 2023, the final payment is not due until 65 days prior to the adventure start date. But, Buenos Aires Escapes, Expedition Cruises, Private Adventures, and River Cruises are excluded from that.
You can read the full policy below.
Hopefully this will provide more flexibility for those with upcoming travel plans. We will keep a close watch on Adventures By Disney and will provide more updates we learn more in the coming weeks and months.
