Star Wars has some of the coolest and toughest ladies in the galaxy!
Star Wars has been in the news a lot lately because of the grand opening of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Hotel, and there are still more things to cover from the galaxy far, far away! March is International Women’s History Month, and there are treats and events popping up all over the Disney Parks to celebrate! We just tried this exclusive Women’s History Month dessert in Disney Springs that’s inspired by a fan-favorite Star Wars lady!
If you love Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels (who also recently appeared in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett), then you’re gonna want to check out this treat in Disney Springs! We tried the Lady Tano Pop for $7.50 at The Ganachery in Disney Springs!
Chefs Katie Dodge and Amanda Lauder created this pop to honor Ahsoka Tano and Ashley Eckstein, the actress who voiced her in The Clone Wars and Rebels, and the founder of Her Universe! This plant-based dessert had Coconut and Blueberry-swirled Ganache, and was covered in 65% Dark Chocolate!
The blue and white swirled ganache represent Ahsoka’s head tails, and it has the Fulcrum symbol on the outside! While subtle, it’s exciting to see a nod to such an amazing female Star Wars character.
The ganache was surprisingly tasteful! We weren’t sure how well the coconut and blueberry would go together, but they combined nicely in this dessert. If you like coconut, blueberry, or fruit flavored chocolate, then you’re gonna want to give this treat a try!
It did melt pretty quickly, and it was pretty difficult to eat off the stick, so be mindful of that if you get it in the middle of a hot Florida day!
We get excited to when we see Ahsoka-inspired things in Disney World, and we were happy to see her getting recognition during Women’s History Month. We’re always staying up to date on all the latest in all things Disney, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
