Another day in Disney World, another new snack to try!
We go to Disney World ALL the time, so we love when new foods pop up for us to test out. Recently, we’ve seen some fun items for May the 4th, like a Millennium Falcon sundae and festive popcorn, as well as some new menu items added to popular restaurants! Today, we noticed a brand new drink over in one Disney World park, so come along with us to try it out!
This is the NEW Boba Tea from Thirsty River Bar in Animal Kingdom! It’s chilled honey-infused black tea paired with tangy sour apple boba balls. You can get it for $5.99 on its own, or add alcohol and get it for $15.
The tea in this drink is super flavorful! It had a great fruity tang to it and was served refreshingly cold (which is great now that it’s getting into the SUPER warm months at Disney World!).
The honey is sweet compared to the bitter black tea, which makes this a great combination — they really balance each other out!
The popping boba has a slight sour apple taste, with a decent amount of tang and sweetness. It tastes very similar to an apple Jolly Rancher!
This drink is delicious, especially if you like popping boba! If you’ve never had it before, the sensation might surprise you at first, so be aware.
If you’re a tea lover, you’re also going to love this drink. However, if you’re not a fan of tea, we don’t recommend trying this one because there is a strong tea flavor!
Overall, this is a refreshing option to grab in Animal Kingdom that’s more exciting compared to a regular ol’ water or soda. It also looks really pretty in pictures! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World food reviews and updates.
