At the very beginning of 2022, Disney’s Magical Express service was discontinued, meaning there is no longer a free option to get to and from Orlando International Airport and Disney World.

There have been some replacement services though that cost money, like the Sunshine Flyer. This service started up in February with fun themed buses and some competitive pricing. Earlier this summer, we told you about a deal that the Sunshine Flyer was running, and that deal just got extended!
To celebrate its first year of service, the Sunshine Flyer had a special deal happening — For all rides booked through July 31st, children ride for free and adults are only $16 each. And, the Sunshine Flyer just extended the promotion through Labor Day!

Labor Day is on Monday, September 5th this year, which means you’ve got a whole lot more time to save on rides to and from the Orlando International Airport!

And, this promotion is for all rides BOOKED from now through Labor Day, the ride doesn’t actually have to take place in that time frame.

Sunshine Flyer works similarly to Disney’s old Magical Express — the service will pick you up at the airport and then take you to your Disney World hotel. The biggest difference is that the Sunshine Flyer isn’t free like Magical Express was.

So, book your ride now if you want to save! If you don’t want to use this service, your other options for getting to and from the airport and your Disney World hotel include Mears Connect (which is very similar to Sunshine Flyer), taking a rideshare service like Uber, or renting a car. There is no longer a free mode of transportation, unless you have a friend coming to pick you up!

Mears Connect
Transportation to Disney World can be tricky, and we also did find out recently that plans have changed for that train that was supposed to go from the airport to Disney Springs. You can read more about that here.
