ONE Airline Has Been Named BEST in the World

Well, different airlines might be labeled as the “best” or “worst” for different reasons or by utilizing different standards. We’ve already taken a look at some of the best and worst airlines in the U.S. according to customer complaints, and we looked at what one website ranked as the best airline in the world. But now some new rankings have come in and we have our list of WINNERS.

The World Airline Awards have named their picks for the World’s Top 10 Airlines of 2022 (and have handed out other awards too). According to their website, the World Airline Awards are sometimes referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry.” Any airline in the world can be nominated, and the Award-winning airlines are voted for by customers.

Over 100 customer nationalities participated in the survey for 2021-2022 and over 350 airlines were included in the survey results. All in all, 13.42 MILLION eligible survey entries were counted in the final results, and those surveyed were asked for their opinions on a variety of topics including service friendliness, the airline website, seat comfort, the quality of meals, and more.

So just what airline won the top spot for 2022? Well, it’s actually no surprise here — for the SEVENTH TIME, Qatar Airways was named the World’s BEST Airline. Qatar Airways was also named the best airline in the world by AirlineRatings.com.

For the World Airline Awards, Singapore Airlines won second place, with Emirates in third. Here’s a look at the top 10 list:

But there are more awards handed out at the “Oscars” for airlines. The world’s best airline for cleanliness was ANA All Nippon Airways, while Singapore Airlines won for the world’s best cabin crew.

The best economy class award went to Emirates, while Turkish Airlines won for the best airline in Europe.

Delta Air Lines won quite a few awards, including best airline in North America, best cabin crew in the USA, and best airline staff service in North America, among other things.

Meanwhile, Southwest Airlines won for the best low-cost airline in North America and the USA, and United Airlines won for best business class lounge in North America.
