January 27th is a HUGE deal for Disney fans. Do you know why?
It’s when The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary celebrations kick off in Disneyland! The celebrations will include lots of decorations; new outfits for Mickey, Minnie, and the gang; and the opening of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway on the West Coast. There are even going to be 2 NEW nighttime shows for the occasion! The party will also include some specialty treats and souvenirs. Learn about the first of these new items here!
The first of the Disney100 treats to arrive in Disneyland is the Lemon Tea Cake, which is made with lemon curd and a lemon zest glaze. It’ll be available starting January 9th at Jolly Holiday and Alien Pizza Planet for $6.99.
In addition to the cake, there’s a new Disney100 Travel Tumbler with a Lanyard that’s coming to the park on January 9th! The tumbler will cost $13.49 and be available at the following locations:
- Jolly Holiday
- Troubadour Tavern
- Mint Julep Bar
- Corn Dog Castle
- Galactic Grill
- Refreshment Corner
- Schmoozie’s
- Craftsman Grill
- Coffee House
- Royal Street Veranda
We haven’t seen any pictures of the tumbler yet, but it’s likely that the souvenir will feature the platinum color scheme that we’ve seen on most of the merchandise for this event so far. We’ll be watching for more updates about all the treats coming to the parks for the big 100th anniversary party!
