The Brightline train service recently became available to the people of Orlando.
The high-speed train services much of southern Florida and only recently made travel from Orlando to Miami a quick train ride. Now, after only about two weeks of offering this new train service in Orlando, Brightline is making a change that will benefit even more riders.
As of September 22nd, Brightline has been offering eight trips daily each way between Orlando and Miami.
The Orlando Brightline station is right at the Orlando International Airport, making it super easy for travelers to jump onto it for their final destination. It’s a convenient way to get from Orlando to South Florida without having to get on a plane.
Now, according to NBC News, Brightline has announced that they will be nearly doubling the number of routes they offer between Orlando and Miami by bumping the number of trips to 15 each way or 30 trips total.
The first train leaving Miami will start at 6:41 AM and arrive in Orlando at 10:19 AM. The last train for the day will leave Miami at 9:41 PM. Up in Orlando, the first train will depart at 4:38 AM, arriving in Miami at 8:11 AM. The last train out of Orlando will leave at 8:54 PM.
This new change is set to begin on Monday, October 9th! According to Brightline’s website, “One-way SMART fares start at $79 for adults and $39 for kids.” Parking is also available at the Orlando International Airport for Brightline passengers in Parking Garage C.
