In the real world, buffets are often places you wanna avoid.
However, at Disney World, buffets are a big, delicious opportunity to eat as much as you want and put your stretchy pants to good use without judgment. There are several great buffet options at Disney World, and there’s no wrong way to take on a Disney buffet. Want three rounds of appetizers? Four rounds of dessert? Have at it. However, there are a few things that we never do at these buffets.
If you do any of these things, the world will keep on spinning and your vacation will continue with magical glee. However, if you want the best experience possible, DON’T do these things!
Get up all at once at character buffets.
If you’re at a character buffet, we wouldn’t recommend getting up for food all at once. There are often folks who miss the characters coming to their table because they’re all at the buffet. How sad is that?!
There is good news, though. If this does happen to you, just tell your server or a Cast Member in a blue shirt. They’ll make sure you get to meet the character!
Reuse plates and bowls.
ICK!!! This is a rule of thumb at any buffet. Please don’t re-use your plates or bowls! This is how so many germs are spread at buffets.
Usually, there are Cast Members there that catch the situation before it happens. However, we have seen folks reusing their plates Imultiple times. It’s never a good sight to see. Don’t do this, please!
Forget to check the actual menu.
It might be a buffet, but there are also usually great options on the physical menu as well.
We usually snag specialty beverages, press pots, allergy-friendly options, and MORE on the physical menus. If one isn’t already on your table, just ask your server to see one.
Well, we hope you feel more prepared to head to the buffets now. We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news and advice, so make sure to follow along for more so that you never miss a thing.
