The moment weāve all been waiting for has FINALLY arrived!
1900 Park Fare has finally reopened as of April 10thĀ at Disneyās Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! This restaurant has been closed since 2020 and weāre thrilled to finally be able to dine here once again. So, of course, weāre taking you with us for a review!
Itās time for breakfast at 1900 Park Fare in Disney World! This buffet restaurant serves up breakfast, lunch, and dinner with characters and weāre here to check it out for breakfast ā letās get into it!
Atmosphere
Disney promised some decor changes when they announced 1900 Park Fare would be reopening, so of course we had to check those out! Since it is a character meal, you will need Advance Dining Reservations to eat here. When we arrived, we stepped through the new, blue doors and waited to be seated.
Gooood morning from 1900 Park Fare for breakfast! š This restaurant is opening for the first time since the 2020 closures with NEW menu items and NEW characters! Letās go! pic.twitter.com/Ly1aS78hYG

We knew that there were going to be refurbishments inside the dining room, which you can see here. New decor has been added, which you can see in the video below! We especially love

As part of the refurbishment, Disney has updated the theme of the restaurant as well. Itās now themed after wishes that characters have made and that have come true. In addition to the characters youāll meet during this meal, youāll also see nods to people like Arthur and Ashaā¦
ā¦Rapunzel, Ariel, and more!
After taking a look around the restaurant for a bit, we found our table and had a seat.
When youāre seated, youāll get a wish card that you can write your own wish on. And, itās also signed by the characters you get to meet here, too: Aladdin, Mirabel, Cinderella, and Tiana.
And all guests get a wish card (that you can write your own wish on!) signed, of course, by our hosts Aladdin, Maribel, Tiana, and Cinderella! āØ

Youāll also get to experience a wishing ceremony featuring Jiminy Cricket!

Once we took our seat, we had a look at the beverage menu. Speaking of whichā¦
ā¦now that weāve taken our seat ā letās find out what weāre having to EAT!
Menu
We got a full look at the breakfast menu before the restaurant opened. Youāll find so many different options to eat and drink for breakfast at 1900 Park Fare! There are specialty cocktailsā¦
ā¦and more specialty cocktailsā¦
ā¦plus, typical breakfast offerings like carved ham, cereal, cheesy potato casserole, and a BREAKFAST PIZZA!
Thereās also scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and more.
At this character buffet during breakfast,Ā adult meals are priced at $54 per person, whileĀ childrenās meals are priced at $34 each for ages 3-9.Ā Dinner is priced atĀ $66 per adult and $49 per child ages 3 through 9.
You will also be able to use theĀ Disney Dining Plan to pay for your meals at 1900 Park Fare, and character buffets can be a good use of credits if you were already planning to enjoy one.
Characters
Characters at this refreshed dining experience include AladdinĀ in his Prince Ali look,Ā Cinderella,Ā MirabelĀ fromĀ Encanto, andĀ Tiana in her new look forĀ Tianaās Bayou Adventure.Ā They will all be present toĀ ācelebrate the power of a wishāĀ at Wish Makers Enchanted Dining!Ā During our meal, we saw Aladdinā¦
ā¦Cinderellaā¦
ā¦Mirabelā¦
ā¦and Tiana!
We spent a few minutes with each character before they moved on to other tables. This can be a great way to meet multiple characters and get a meal in at the same time!
Eats
Since this is a buffet, there are LOTS of options to choose from ā no matter what youāre in the mood for! Youāll find plenty of options to choose from, including traditional eats like scrambled eggsā¦
ā¦chicken breakfast sausageā¦
ā¦baconā¦
ā¦biscuitsā¦
ā¦sausage gravyā¦
ā¦cheese gritsā¦
ā¦and oatmeal.
Plus, some other items like the famous Strawberry Soup, served with fresh strawberries and whipped topping!
Trust us ā this stuff is delicious and itās so unique!
Vegetarians and vegans can enjoy the Spiced Tofu Scrambleā¦
ā¦while others may enjoy Eggs Benedictā¦
ā¦or sliced ham from the carving station!
Thereās a beef and potato hashā¦
ā¦along with a cheesy potato hash, too.
Can we talk about this BREAKFAST PIZZA for a second?!
And, of course, there are Mickey Wafflesā¦
ā¦along with pancakesā¦
ā¦guava and cream cheese danishesā¦
ā¦yogurt with granolaā¦
ā¦fruit saladā¦
ā¦croissantsā¦
ā¦and other breads and bagels.
Youāll find some bagel accouterments as wellā¦
ā¦along with some sweeter pastries like muffins and doughnut holes!
We were SO excited for the return of the strawberry soup, so of course we had to try it first! This is the moment we had been waiting for and weāre happy to say it did NOT disappoint. It tastes similar to a thinner strawberry smoothie or yogurt, and keep in mind that it is served cold. You can top it with whipped cream and strawberries as well!
We tried the Mickey Waffles, which were pretty standard ā albeit a bit on the soggy side, which tends to be par for the course at buffets. The scrambled eggs with cheeseĀ were a step up from regular scrambled eggs and we enjoyed them ā not too overdone or dry. Note that there are omelets available here but you need to order those through your server. TheĀ chicken breakfast sausageĀ was smoky and had a great snap just like you want it to. The bacon was on the crunchy side when we had it, but your mileage may vary there.
We tried the biscuits and gravy, too, which were just alright. The biscuits were dry, but the gravy was the shining star. It was more like a brown gravy than a white, sawmill-style gravy which helped the dry biscuit. The carved ham we had was on the dry side as well, but it could have just been the piece we had. The cheesy grits were so, so, so good ā for a breakfast buffet, these were creamy, cheesy, buttery, and hit the spot. The cheesy potato casserole was incredibly rich and cheesy, which weāre certainly not complaining about.
The cinnamon pull-apart bread was also incredible and we could have eaten it until we got sick ā it was that good. Itās served with a creme anglaise that helps keep it moist, but it didnāt even need it in some cases. This bread was soft, warm, sweet, and spiced thanks to the cinnamon. The breakfast pizza was another standout. Itās made on a croissant crust so itās perfectly flaky and buttery, with sausage gravy, cheese, scrambled eggs, and bacon on top. It was a super fun option and the flavors came together nicely. Kiddos would probably like this one too!
We were pretty impressed with the Spiced Tofu Scramble, even as non-vegetarians! It had a nice spicy, southwest flavor thanks to the veggies and it made for a great option other than hash browns and eggs for those veggie-eaters.
Of course, we had to wash all that food down with something!
Drinks
Youāll find some regular and specialty beverages here, and we kicked things off with POG juice and some coffee! If youāve never had POG juice, itās a tropical fruit drink made from passionfruit, orange, and guava, and itās a staple around Disney World. Itās fruity and sweet ā and we love it!
We got POG juice (ā¼ļø) and coffee, but thereās a menu of all specialty cocktails to choose from!

We got the nonalcoholic So Many Wishes drink for $6.29. This is made with Pomegranate Green Tea, Hibiscus, Lemon, and a dash of Star Dust. We really enjoyed this! It was heavy on the pomegranate flavor and almost tasted like raspberry to us without that tartness you normally get with it. The gold star flakes are a super fun touch and would make this a fun drink for kiddos!
The Lavender Lemonade was $6.29 and is Minute MaidĀ® Premium Lemonade with flavors of Lavender inspired by New Orleansā influence on American cuisine. This was WAY more lavender than lemonade to us ā weāre not sure if it was just the mocktail we got, but the lavender syrup was much stronger than the lemonade. It was floral and tart but not in the best way!
Letās get to the menu! We are reviewing some of the drinks first. Here we have the non-alcoholic So Many Wishes ($6.29) and Lavender Lemonade ($6.29).
In the middle is the Cold Brew Martini ($16) ā SelvaRey Chocolate Rum, Tia Maria Liqueur, Joffreyās Coffee⢠Cold Brew pic.twitter.com/ZbQ8TlMPOc
ā Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) April 10, 2024
As far as cocktails go, we tried the Cold Brew Martini for $16. This is made with SelvaRey Chocolate Rum, Tia Maria Liqueur, and Joffreyās Coffee Cold Brew. This was a pretty standard espresso martini ā which isnāt to say it wasnāt good! It was perfectly balanced and a nice breakfast cocktail, but we wouldnāt go out of our way to get it.

Overall
Weāre SO thrilled 1900 Park Fare is finally open again. Breakfast here is not one to be missed if youāre a fan of these characters or are looking for a nice, sit-down meal while youāre staying at the Grand Floridian or are heading to Magic Kingdom for the day. The strawberry soup, breakfast pizza, and cinnamon pull-apart bread were the standouts for us. We didnāt get a ton of repeat interaction from the characters, but we did get some more quality interactions with them instead. Give 1900 Park Fare a try on your next Disney World trip!

Would be curious to see a review of the dinner here. We tend to opt for dinner instead of breakfast at the character buffets because it just seems like a lot of money to pay for breakfast foods. Any plans to review the dinner Buffet?
The food at Park Fare has always been meh at best (and I do NOT get all the love for the cold strawberry mush). But it was never really the point; the character interactions were. This reimagining just doesnāt hold up to the original, IMHO.
Wish Tiana was in her ball gown like Cinderella but overall looks like a fun time.
Are You Kidding Me ? Money Grubbing Gone WILD !!!
Can you give an update about CAKE BAKE SHOP at The Boardwalk? I havenāt seen an article in a while. Why are they so slow?
I have to say for that price, I expected smoke salmon at least.
Glad itās back for the people who have a tradition of visiting this location, and of course the strawberry soup is a legend that is known even to those of us who have never been there. But we have no interest in the new theme, and aside from the strawberry soup, the other offerings seem pretty standard. We wonāt be dropping $54 a person (or more) just to go here. If we could have met the stepsisters, Prince Charming, Mad Hatter, or other impossible-to-find-elsewhere characters, weād be there in a hearbeat. Weāve met all these characters at other meals or meet and greets.
Hi Lucretia. There arenāt really any updates. We are there once a week watching them build and itās still steadily being built, but we donāt have an opening date just yet.
We also went back for a dinner review. You can check it out here. š
Meh. We went when it had the stepsisters the week before they shut down for Covid. It was our 2nd time at Park Fare, and it was great. Iām not going to go there for the new version, not worth it for us.
