If youโre getting ready to book dining reservations for your Disney World vacation, you might feel a little overwhelmed.
There are quite literally HUNDREDS of places to dine in Disney World, and it can be very challenging to decide where you should eat during your limited vacation! Weโve been to every restaurant in Disney World and we STILL have a hard time choosing. But if you want to go ahead and get some of those reservations locked down, weโve got a hack to help you book your dining early!
For Disney-owned restaurants, you can make your dining reservations 60 days before your vacation. If youโre staying at a Disney World hotel, you can make reservations for your entire trip at the 60-day mark. However, if youโre staying off-site, youโll have to book those ressies 60 days in advance, one day at a time.
But we bet you didnโt know thereโs an EXCEPTION to this rule! Many Disney Springs area restaurants are available to book on OpenTable, and if you make your reservations there, you might be able to get them earlier. For some, you can book up to a year in advance!
As an example, you can book Summer House on the Lake 90 days in advance, both STK Orlando and Raglan Road Irish Pub can be booked 180 days in advance, and Wine Bar George can actually be booked 365 days ahead of time through OpenTable. However, some spots (like The Boathouse) still keep the 60-day window.
To find the booking window, we went to each restaurantโs page on OpenTable and checked availability each month until we got a โbooking is not yet availableโ message. If youโd like to check your favorite restaurant before your trip, thatโs a great way to do it!

We do make advance reservations through OpenTable, especially for places we want to go that are available early. We have found that some of the restaurants will have no availability if you wait until the 60 day point, at least not when we want to visit. It also cuts down on what youโre trying to get during that precious time when your dining window opens up. If you can plan to focus on places that let you reserve early for your first days in advance of the 60 day window, then you can go straight to those harder-to-get reservations when your window opens, and if itโs a day or two into your trip before youโre trying to get those, availability will be better.
