D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is coming soon! The event will be taking place from August 9th through August 11th, 2024 in Anaheim, CA. This event will feature lots of fantastic experiences including appearances from Disney execs, celebrities, Imagineers, and so much more. Plus, there are sure to be some BIG announcements!

If you are attending this year’s event, you will want to know about the Reservation Random Selection Process, or Reservation RSP, that will be utilized for the event. The Reservation RSP will allow you to make reservation requests for select panels, presentations, talent signings, and show floor experiences ahead of the event.

Now, we know you may be thinking that this will require you to get up early to try and beat everyone else who is also hoping to make reservations for the events. However, we have some great news! The Reservation RSP will not require you to get up super early OR compete against every other attendee to get onto the site first.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event

Instead, the Reservation RSP will be open for multiple days and you will just need to log in during the period to make your selections. The Reservation RSP system will open at 12PM PT on July 15th and will stay open until 12PM PT on July 19th. There is no advantage to logging in early and making your selections first, as all the reservations will be randomly assigned. There will be three different categories of events, and you will be able to select four items from each category. The categories are Stage Presentations, Talent Central, and Show Floor Experiences.

D23 Media Event

The Stage Presentations category will include reservations for sessions at Premiere Stage presented by Fandango, The Walt Disney Archives Stage, Backlot Stage, and Hyperion Stage. Talent Central includes reservations for talent photos and signings at Talent Central, and Show Floor Experiences provides reservations for experiences happening in booths around the Show Floor. Within each category, you can select up to four events and choose to bring up to seven guests with you for each selection. An important note is that the Reservation RSP is NOT for evening shows at the Honda Center. These presentations are for D23 Ultimate Fan Pass ticket holders only and there are no reservations OR stand-by queues available. 

Show Floor Highlights

If you make selections in the Reservation RSP, you will then be notified via email between August 2nd and August 5th if you have any confirmed selections. There is no guarantee that you will get a spot for all of your requests. If you don’t get a reservation for a particular event, standby queues will still be available for most of the panels and experiences in the Anaheim Convention Center.

Now, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of how to actually make your selections through the Reservation RSP. Beginning Monday, July 15th at 12PM PT you will be able to navigate to the Reservation RSP via the D23 website. Once you have navigated to the Reservation RSP you will need to sign in to your D23 Member account. After you have logged in, you will see a reservation screen where you will make your selections.

On the reservation screen, you will see each of the three categories and the ability to “Add Selections” for each one. You can choose up to four items per category.

Once you have chosen your four items in the category you will be able to rank your requests from high to low. After you have ranked the events, you can “Continue with Selections.”

Next up, you will need to select how many guests will be joining you for the event. You can bring up to seven additional guests with you, and you will choose how many for each event on the next page. You can choose a different number of guests for each event. You will follow this same process for each of the three categories, and then you will have a chance to review all of your selections.

Once you have chosen events for each of the three categories, you will be able to make any edits and then click on “Review Selections” to take another look at them.

If you are happy with your selections, you can click “Submit” and you are all set! If you are a bit undecisive, no worries! You can modify your selections as much as you want until 12PM PT on July 19th. Children under 18 years old will not be able to make reservations, but they can accompany adults with reservations as one of their additional guests.
