Picture this: the Thanksgiving holiday is here, your family has the day off, and youβre spending the day in Disney World. Youβve got a nice, hearty Thanksgiving meal lined up at Liberty Tree Tavern, and you planΒ to visit some of your favorite Magic Kingdom rides throughout the day. Sounds pretty nice, eh?

Well, hereβs the part we left out: Thanksgiving is notoriously one of the BUSIEST days in Disney World. The parks get pretty crowded, and Disneyβs skip-the-line services tend to reach a record-high price. This year is no exception β Disney just revealed the prices for Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, and Lightning Lane Premier Pass. Spoiler alert: those Thanksgiving day skip-the-line passes are EXPENSIVE!Β
If you plan to visit Magic Kingdom on Thanksgiving day, be prepared for high wait times and big crowds. Disney raises and lowers the prices of its skip-the-line services based on the anticipated crowd level, so when we see record-high prices for November 28th, we know Disney is expecting a lot of people.

Hereβs a look at the prices for Disneyβs new luxury skip-the-line service, Lightning Lane Premier Pass, on November 28th, 2024. To sum this option up in a few words, itβs basically a top-dollar, simplified way to avoid the standby line at each ride. The prices on Thanksgiving day are record-breaking β this is the most weβve seen Disney charge for a Premier Pass at each park.
- Disneyβs Animal Kingdom: $199
- Disneyβs Hollywood Studios: $349
- EPCOT: $249
- Magic Kingdom: $449
Keep in mind you cannot use your Premier Pass in multiple parks on the same day.

Luckily, there are plenty of other things to see and do around Disney World when the crowds feel overwhelming. You can visit Disneyβs Monorail Resorts to see the gingerbread displays. You can take a relaxing break at the Carousel of Progress. You can sit and recharge in the Storybook Circus seating area. You can even visit Disney Springs and check out the Tree Stroll!

Thereβs a charging station in Storybook Circus in Magic Kingdom!
If you decide to brave the crowds, good luck!Β In the meantime, weβre always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.

Weβre both in our 70βs, so a full park day ends after lunch, and we donβt do roller coasters. Ergo, spending such an exorbitant amount of money for a βfull-dayβ lightning pass will never happen. Adding a multi to our annual passes is more than enough for us, plus a pair of singles for ROTR at HS.
Iβm so tired of how money grubby Disney has gotten. I love it, but my next trip in January will probably be my last for a very long time. I know that they donβt care and my not coming will have no effect on them but Iβd still sad that they keep digging their hands in our pockets. Mine are empty!
Money hungry Disney first they increase park tickets, then take away DAS for most handicapped people and now if you canβt or donβt want to stand in line for 2 hrs they make you pay an exorbitant amount to skip the line. A family would have to take a loan out to pay for it. I guess the CEO needs another yacht.
Tom Welsh and Sue Bang I understand what you both are saying. My husband and I are in our mid 70βs we gave up our annual pass this year. For the little time we go to Disney we are just priced out plus I am handicapped and had the DAS but now they said I canβt have it because my handicap is not mental even though I canβt walk or stand for a short time and I have anxiety and get panic attacks.
My flabbers are ghasted! I cannot fathom how they think this is remotely reasonable. Yeah, I know there are some people who will pay but how many? Come on already? They are making it nearly impossible for the average family to afford a vacation there. Even the value resorts arenβt really value anymore, considering itβs a standard hotel room. But Iβm old, I remember when the All Stars were $79 a night, you got Fast Pass printed out at the ride for free and it was $350 for a 4 day Hopper Pass. The good old days. ππ I do love Disney but itβs getting out of control!! Sorry for the old timer rant.
Who can actually afford these prices? And better yet, are people actually buying them?
