Disney has officially announced the actors who will be playing Belle and the Beast in the upcoming North American tour of Disney on Broadway‘s “Beauty and the Beast,” and we’re pretty darn excited about it!
Disney has released some information about this tour — like when it will kick off and which cities will be included — but we also know who will be playing the titular characters, and one of them happens to be our pal!
Disney has announced the leads of the enchanting new production of Disney on Broadway’s “Beauty and the Beast” when it goes on tour! Kyra Belle Johnson will be playing Belle (it’s almost like she was born for this role with that name) and our pal Fergie L. Philippe will be playing Beast!
This will be the first Disney-produced North American tour of this musical to launch in more than 25 years, and it will officially kick off this summer!
And, for the next few days — until February 24th — you can see the incredible Disney on Broadway display located inside EPCOT’s CommuniCore Hall! The exhibit is called Once Upon a Stage: 30 Years of Disney on Broadway and features costumes and props from Disney musicals and a behind-the-scenes look at how animated films were adapted for Broadway. And, y’all, it’s INCREDIBLE!

Definitely go check it out if you haven’t yet — while you still have time! The Festival of the Arts only lasts until February 24th, and then on March 5th, the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival begins. We can’t wait! Click here to see if the tour is coming to a city near you and to get tickets.
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for the latest updates from Disney World. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news!
