When it comes to dining at Epic Universe, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well.

Epic Universe
We recently stopped by Cafe L’air de la Sirene in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – The Ministry of Magic to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to Universal’s newest theme park? Find out here!
We’re inside Epic Universe during Annual Passholder previews before the theme park officially opens on May 22nd, 2025! We’ve been exploring the park day and night to bring you every detail of the new theme park, and we are obsessed. Let’s dive into the Wizarding World.
Atmosphere
When we first stepped into 1920s Paris (the theme of the land), we went straight to Cafe L’air de la Sirene! This quick service, which is named the Sirean’s Breath Cafe in English, has one large red entrance; however, thanks to the garden gates on the corner of the building, it was a bit confusing before we went inside.

The Main entrance!
There are several little garden gates on the corner of the building, but be warned, you can’t enter through them! The restaurant has some beautiful outdoor seating that makes you feel like you’re sitting on the streets of Paris.

Menu
When it comes to the menu, this spot offers croissants, pain au chocolat, a ratatouille baguette sandwich, a turkey baguette sandwich, salad niçoise, and more. You can also grab the famous Butterbeer crepes here!

Bièraubeurre Crepe
And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Cassoulet Végétalien aux Haricots Blancs for $18.99. This is a rich stew made with cannellini beans, vegan sausage, vegan bacon, trumpet mushrooms, carrots, and tomatoes, topped with baguette croutons!

Cassoulet Végétalien aux Haricots Blancs
It might be too salty for some people, but it was perfect for us. The vegan sausage and vegan bacon probably contributed to that, but we would still recommend this to almost anyone looking for a solid plant-based meal! It was so rich and savory, with a smokiness from the vegan bacon, and super hearty and filling thanks to all those cannellini beans and veggies, especially the mushrooms!

A closer look at the Cassoulet Végétalien aux Haricots Blancs
Everything just blended together into a really delicious stew! The croutons were a really nice touch by adding flavor and crunch! If we’re being super critical, we would probably skip the vegan bacon because it left a bit of a bitter, smoky aftertaste that didn’t sit quite right for us.

We love it!
Next, we grabbed the Vegan Croissant! We aren’t being dramatic when we say it was flawless.

The vegan croissant!
It was buttery and flaky, but had no dairy! Our reporter will be stopping by to mobile order one every time they’re in the park to grab this simple snack. It also paired beautifully with the cassoulet! Pro tip — dip it in the cassoulet and eat them together!

So tasty!
We really enjoyed these items, but we needed something to wash them down with!
Drinks
To drink, we picked up the Lavender Lemonade for $5.50! To be honest, it didn’t taste like lavender at all. A team member assured us it actually does contain lavender extract and is meant to taste like it.

The Lavender Lemonade!
We couldn’t taste it at all, so if you’re looking for that floral flavor, you’ll be disappointed. That said, the lemonade itself is delicious. You just might be disappointed if you’re looking for lavender.

Overall, this is without question a vegan destination. They’re offering exceptional food in multiple categories, in a setting that is like no other theme park restaurant we’ve ever been to. It genuinely feels like we’re sitting in a café in Paris—but in a dream, where everything is bigger and brighter and more fabulous. Our reporter literally said, “I want to live here”. Exceptional service from Tori on 6/8/2025 near closing time. She was exceptionally accommodating, patient, and extremely helpful. When I asked for a substitution she went to seek out info and returned with my options (in this case it was possible). However, I would have to place the order in person and not use the app. When I went to the bar to place the order, the guy behind the bar was not attentive as it took him a long while to notice I was at the counter and when he did he approached and spoke to a man near me who had arrived long after me. Unfortunately, the man began to order without considering I was there first, nor confirming if I’d ordered. I informed the employee that I was there first and had not ordered. This should be an introductory 101 work skill. If you aren’t aware, ask. Don’t assume who was there first. When I placed my order, he rejected saying I could not make any substitutions. I informed him that Tori had already inquired, and that it was possible. All I wanted to do was exchange the salad with fruit, which was already available as a side for other dishes. If it wasn’t for Tori’s assistance and additional things she did while I sat there waiting on my family to join me, I would not have been impressed with the employee experience. Tori was exceptional. She proactively placed a reserved placard and offered me a large table with a booth so that I could be comfortable with my grandchild as I awaited the rest of the party returning from a ride. She was extremely mindful and attentive to details as she noticed I had a sleeping infant in a stroller. She offered me the quietest table farthest away from noise. She periodically walked by checking on me and never made me feel like I was keeping her from leaving early. I was her last and only table at this point of the evening. I used to be a waitress in my earlier days and understand the sacrifice that it takes when you have a customer that lingers and you are feeling exhausted because you’ve been on your feet all day. But she never once made me feel like she was rushing me, nor did she convey anything but smiles and empathy. Of course, I was determined to give her a sizable tip, only to my dismay and disappointment, she turned me down, saying that no tips were allowed as the policy. I insisted, but true to her integrity, she was consistent in turning it down. TORI was BY FAR the BEST waitperson I experienced during our stay at Universal. BTW, we had come for lunch earlier, and I returned for the quiche (same day) because it was exceptional! The other dishes we earlier ordered were also great!
