A popular Disney World hotel pool has been closed since January 2025, but we just noticed a HUGE hint that this pool will likely be opening sometime soon!
Stormalong Bay construction in April 2025
Stormalong Bay is a popular pool at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. It is HUGE and has great amenities such as a sand pool bottom, a waterslide, and more. The pool is expected to reopen sometime in June, and you will never guess what we just saw!
Stormalong Bay has water in it once again! The pool had been drained during the refurbishment, but it is now beginning to look a bit more like an actual pool. While the addition of water doesn’t mean it will be opening right away, it is definitely a great step in the right direction.

As we were admiring the water, there was still PLENTY of work being done and lots of workers throughout the pool area. So, while super exciting, it will still be a bit before hotel guests can use this amenity again. Of course, we will be keeping you updated as we learn more details about the reopening of Stormalong Bay.

The iconic shipwreck that doubles as a waterslide is still under construction, too. We spotted some scaffolding up near the staircase leading to the slide.

In the meantime, if you are staying at Yacht Club or Beach Club, you can utilize the Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove leisure pools for all your swimming needs. While they aren’t quite as fun as the main pool, they will still provide some wonderfully refreshing pool time.
