When dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something upscale? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road? You can find it at Disney World. And if you’re looking for something relaxed, casual, and quick, you can find that as well. One of the best options for a quick and easy meal is heading to the quick service location at your hotel, and today we are stopping by one to try some new menu items!
We recently stopped by Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to check out some new menu items. We love it when new food comes to Disney World, so let’s see if these new dishes are worth the stop! Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here!
Atmosphere
Landscape of Flavors is located inside of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. It is a cafeteria-style dining location with a plethora of seating options. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so if you are feeling hungry while you are at Art of Animation, this could be a great option for a quick meal.
There are four sections to the dining areas that are themed to the same films that inspired the areas of Art of Animation. You will find an area inspired by The Lion King, Cars, Finding Nemo, and The Little Mermaid.
Like other cafeteria-style options at Disney World, you will find multiple stations inside the restaurant. You can either order your food from one of the stations or stop by a grab-and-go station for an even quicker and easier option. Each station has different food options, so take a look at the menus overhead to figure out which station you want to go to. You can also place a Mobile Order and pick up your food from the Mobile Order station.
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
Landscape of Flavors is a food court location inside of Disney’s Art of Animation, so it has a pretty extensive menu of options. There are entrees such as Mongolian Beef, Fish and Chips, and Ramen Noodle Bowls.
You can also choose from pizza and pasta, including a Large Cheese Pizza or Chicken-Parmesan Pasta.
There are also options for burgers, chicken, and sandwiches. You can grab a Cheeseburger, Caprese Chicken Sandwich, or a Meatball Sub.
There are also soups and salads, including a Caesar Salad and a Greek Salad.
There is also a plant-based option, the Korean-style Impossible Burger. You can also get a hot dog, the Chili-Cheese Foot-long Hot Dog.
There are a few options for sides like Garlic Bread Sticks.
There are also 10 different options for kids’ meals including Chicken Strips, Sesame Chicken, and Macaroni & Cheese.
Of course, you can also grab some sweet treats at Landscape of Flavors including the Sketchbook Cake or a Cookies ‘n Cream Sundae Cupcake.
There are also lots of options from the bakery section.
There are also enhancements and fresh fruit available.
As well as grab and go snacks such as a Yogurt Parfait, Pretzels with Hummus, and Uncrustables.
There is also a wide variety of beverages available.
You can also get tea and specialty coffees.
As well as hot beverages, milk, and milk alternatives.
There are also options for juice and water.
If you are looking for an adult beverage, you will also find specialty cocktails.
There is also a selection of beer.
And wine offered by the glass and by the bottle.
We made it through everything that is offered at Landscape of Flavors, so now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
We started off with the Butter Chicken with Naan Bread for $14.19. It is served with steamed rice, green beans, and naan bread. Who knew we could get that classic butter chicken flavor at a Disney World resort? The sauce was flavorful and filled with spices, but not spicy. The chicken was on the drier side, but we had plenty of sauce to help. We loved the creaminess of the sauce, especially with the rice.
The rice was cooked well, and the green beans were flavored with pepper, onion, and garlic. They even tasted a bit smoky! Our meal came with a side of naan that was a bit thinner than classic naan, but we loved to dip it into the sauce and scoop everything up together. There was a hit of garlic too, and it was a bit chewy from sitting out for a bit, but if it was fresh for the day, it would have had a great texture.
We also tried the Ramen Noodle Bowl with Beef for $13.49. It features fresh vegetables and soft-boiled egg in miso broth.
The ramen bowl takes a bit longer to order, but for the best reason — it’s made to order! They cook the noodles fresh and assemble them together, making our bowl fresh and just how we like it. The noodles were well-cooked and were tender with that bit of chew to them. The beef was tender and had a bit of chew, and mixed well with the miso-forward broth. There was even a bit of sweetness in the back! When we split the egg, it was runny and soaked in soy sauce, which is one of our favorite ramen toppings. The other vegetables were bok choy, carrots, corn, mushrooms, edamame, sweet peppers, and bamboo shoots, and like the butter chicken, we’re surprised we can pick this up at a quick-service restaurant. It’s a great meal option for something a bit lighter but also filling.
There were also some new options for kids’ meals, so we grabbed the Sesame Chicken Kids’ Meal for $8.29. This dish has broccoli, red pepper, and onion with rice served with choice of two sides and small lowfat milk or small DASANI® bottled water.
We picked up a kids meal, and even though it’s for kids, we might be picking this up again for ourselves in the future. The chicken had a thick layer of sauce that was sticky and sweet, and you could taste the spices, and while it isn’t spicy, it’s more of a spiced chicken versus sweet. You get three pieces of chicken, a scoop of rice, and a small scoop of broccoli and red pepper. The veggies were charred and tender and matched the overall feeling of the meal.
We finished off our meal with the Sketchbook Cake for $6.79. It is colorful vanilla sponge cake, vanilla buttercream, chocolate ganache, and edible sketches.
When we saw this dessert, we knew we had to get it! The vanilla cake was moist and had tons of vanilla buttercream (frosting lovers, this is for you!). The icing was on the sweet side, and the chocolate ganache was rich.
This might not be the most unique flavors we’ve ever had, but it’s a solid piece of cake that was super cute, and yes, the sketches on top are edible!
Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You are staying at the Art of Animation
- You are looking for faster meal options
- You want a variety of foods so everyone can find something they’ll like
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You aren’t staying at the Art of Animation
- You want a longer, sit-down meal
- You want more classic dishes like burgers and chicken tenders (which we love, too!)
Overall
Landscape of Flavors was a hit for us! We had a variety of food and enjoyed all of it. They had hearty meals that would fill us up after a long park day, and we loved that we can pick a meal up and head back to our room to relax. Since the restaurant is cafeteria style, you can find something for each member of the family all in one place and grab a dessert while you’re at it. Because of the location, we wouldn’t go out of our way to eat there if we weren’t staying at the resort, but if you are staying there, it should be on your list.
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
