June’s quickly approaching and some MASSIVE changes are coming to Disney World early in the month.
From the start of year-long refurbishments, to the ongoing retheming of a popular EPCOT attraction, to beginning to say goodbye to DinoLand, U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom — we’ve already seen lots happen at Disney World in 2025 and we’re not even halfway through the year. As we enter the OFFICIAL halfway point of the year, there’s still another big change coming and subsequent announcements that we expect to be delivered in June.
As a reminder, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be undergoing a MASSIVE change in the coming years with the inclusion of a new Monsters, Inc. Land. The land will occupy the space that currently houses Muppets Courtyard. With that said, the Muppets are saying goodbye fairly soon.
June 7th will be the last day to experience both Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo before they’re removed PERMANENTLY to make way for the new land.
On June 8th and after, we’ll be staying alert for updates on the new Monsters, Inc. Land construction progress, as well as what to expect when the land opens.
Additionally, we’re awaiting news on the future of The Muppets in Hollywood Studios. Disney also announced that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will be getting a retheme to go from Aerosmith to The Muppets sometime in the future. We’re hoping to hear more about that timeline and what the new version of the ride will include. Disney has already stated that the ride will feature some of today’s biggest music stars, but we’re hoping to hear some elaboration in the near future.
Disney also teased that Muppet*Vision 3D would be remembered in another form. Whether that means a special on Disney+ or something else remains to be seen.
We’ll continue to follow all the latest developments at Hollywood Studios and the rest of the Disney World Resort updates. so keep it posted right here at DFB to stay in the know!

If they really want to do something for Hollywood Studios, get rid of that worthless Indiana Jones. That would clear the way for what should be built there: Cars! Save Muppets. Save Rivers of America. Do the right thing Disney.
Disney shouldn’t forget that many people, young and old, can’t do the thrill rides. Retheming a roller coaster for the muppets and getting rid of a show means taking away a big experience for those people. More new shows and dark rides are badly needed.
Well Pat, don’t worry DIsney is adding 1 new show and 1 updated show. I do agree that this would be a great time to dust off The Muppets Great Movie Ride!
Instead of closing one thing after another, Disney should keep the current attractions and open a new park. It seems to be such a waste of money destroying and replacing all the attractions and restaurants that people like.
The ultimate in disrespect to Jim Henson thinking putting Muppetvision 3D on Disney plus is a good idea and placates those who don’t want it demolished!
