EPCOT is home to so many restaurants that it can be difficult to decide where to eat. That’s why we’re here! We try all the restaurants and bring you the details so you can figure out where to stop on your Disney World trip.
We headed to Spice Road Table in the Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT to see if this spot still delivers excellent quality and flavors. Come with us to dinner and see if Spice Road Table is somewhere you should add to your “must-do” list.
Atmosphere
Welcome to Spice Road Table! This restaurant is by the water of the World Showcase and has covered seating.
Walking in, you’ll see a wall filled with spices on the tiled floor. Reservations are recommended, but some same-day reservations may be available.
The covered patio has beautiful lamps and fans along the ceiling to help you stay cool. There are even some additional umbrellas to help with that brutal Florida heat, but don’t worry, there are some tables inside as well. The deep teals take us straight to Morocco!
Now that we’re at our table, let’s review the menu.
Menu
The Spice Road Table is available for lunch and dinner and has Mediterranean-inspired small plates. We love picking out a few small plates to share among the table and ending it with dessert. From seafood options, chicken, and a plant-based option, even with a limited menu, we can usually find dishes to easily share with the whole party.
Connected to the name, the dishes are filled with spices, but are not always spicy! They use bright, fresh flavors and are lighter than other theme park dining locations. They also have specialty beverages, wine, sangria, beer, and cider.
We’re getting hungry after reading that menu, so let’s eat!
Eats
We started off with the Calamari with Harissa Remoulade for $13.
This new menu item had a great, crispy texture, without being too hard to bite into. It’s a bit chewy because the squid provides a briny seafood taste. Don’t be afraid of that bright orange sauce — it’s not spicy! It’s mild and brought a bit of tang to the dish. There were red peppers and fresh lemon to add bright flavors.
While this might not be our favorite meal we’ve ever had at Spice Road Table, it’s a solid dish, and if you’re a calamari fan, you’ll want to add this to your list.
We also ordered the Spice Road Sampler for $15.
While all of the dishes served here are small plates, this combines three popular menu items and even small dishes. The sampler has zaalouk, spiced lamb kefta, and house-made hummus fries. We dove into the hummus fries, one of the most popular items on the menu. The hummus is fried like a falafel, so you can eat it with your hands. Three large fries were topped with cucumbers and tomatoes and served with a citrus-chipotle sauce with a zing! It was spicy, but we loved the heat that came with it.
The lamb kefta is similar to the kebabs you can get at Tangerine Cafe, which we love. It is served with a mint chutney and tastes of pistachios, which bring in a bright flavor and a bit of crunch and sweetness.
The zaalouk came with bread similar to naan or pita and a chipotle dip. You get plenty of dip to scoop, and it has a low heat from the spices, but it is not as spicy as the sauce with the hummus fries. We like that we get three different meals together, which allows us to try other meals when we can’t decide.
We’re never leaving a restaurant without a sweet treat, so we ordered the Dessert Platter for $11.
You get a variety of Moroccan pastries to try. The cookie might look tough, but it was SO soft. It’s a little chewy and sticks to the top of your mouth. We tasted a deep, warm, spiced flavor with a cherry middle that brought in some tartness.
The flakier croissant reminded us of a baklava, combining a croissant and a cinnamon roll. It was swimming in a light honey-coated coating with chopped nuts on top. The sweetness level is perfect for an after-dinner dessert.
The third piece is a spiced cake covered in a thin layer of honey and sugar. The bottom was soaked, and this cake was so delicious that we wished we had a whole one.
Drinks
To drink, we had the Pomegranate Mimosa for $14.50.
Mimosa fans are going to be obsessed with this one. It was cold and bubbly, and the pomegranate flavor was very mild with some tang, while the mimosa side of the drink was strong. The seeds either float to the top or bottom, so if you want to eat them, you can, but if you don’t love the crunch, you can easily avoid it.

Overall
Spice Road Table is our hidden oasis in the very busy World Showcase. We love enjoying lighter dishes by the water and truly relaxing before heading to our next attraction. Our dishes have a variety of flavors, from deep-spiced to sweet to bright, which allows each dish to be a star. We like to head here repeatedly for a relaxing dining experience while enjoying our EPCOT day.

AGREED. Phenomenal food. But it’s outside, many people are looking for an inside, air-conditioned space to relax ..
Most people skip because they are travelling with kids, and kids aren’t very adventurous when it comes to mideastern and Indian food. Parents pick and choose their battles, and dining is often a compromise if not sacrifice so the Disney dinks are likely the ones to enjoy a quiet meal here.
Do you need a reservation? Can you go there and just have drinks/dessert or is there a minimum purchase?
It is interesting to see that they might be using octopus instead of squid for their Calamari
The main reason I don’t dine there is because it’s outside and it’s just TOO HOT! I look forward to dining in air conditioned restaurants as a break from the heat. I’m rarely able to be in the parks on cooler days and who can predict those!
Wow … really disagree with this assessment. We are a family of foodies and our experience here has been very disappointing. Maybe they knew you were blogging and made special efforts for you.
Maybe I shouldn’t say so, but – we enjoy Mediterranean food, and we miss Restaurant Marrakesh greatly. But we did not enjoy anything that we had at Spice Road Table when we visited (which included some of the same or similar items as covered here). We found the menu limited and even though we wanted very much to like what we tried, we just didn’t. Some of the dishes we ordered each came with enough rice each for a whole table of people as well There was so much rice left at the end of the meal, we felt very guilty. I think if you like the limited, specific dishes they serve here (and a lot of rice), it’s probably great. But the menu simply doesn’t have much to offer for even some fairly adventerous diners.
Typically if you have a reservation you sit inside if you don’t and do walk up then they seat you outside . I’m an AP and that’s how it works , it’s my favorite restaurant however they took away the chicken and replaced it with some dough filled chicken which is not that good …other than that the atmosphere and the food is amazing
I thought Morocco was closed! I’m sure others feel the same so there was no reason to consider eating there! It looks very nice but I wouldn’t be bothered with reservations nor does it look like that kind of place. I wish they had tandoori chicken with white rice and garlic naan….my faves! A green salad or salad bar would be a big plus! We don’t drink…especially in wdw….so milk and water would be perfect. Desserts look nice! If we can just walk in, we will give it a go! Thanks for telling us about it!
Loved this restaurant and its prix fix menu for the fireworks. I had some dietary concerns and they were very gracious helping me make adjustments. Plus the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
