When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well.
We recently stopped by T-Rex Cafe in Disney Springs to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here!
Atmosphere
If you’ve ever been to a Rainforest Cafe, this might feel a bit familiar. T-Rex is located in the Marketplace section of Disney Springs and lets you dine in prehistoric times!

The outside!
Inside, you’ll find a full merchandise section, and you can even build your own Dino! We personally are obsessed with this.

How cute is this?
The restaurant has tons of dinosaurs throughout the building. How scary but fun!

Dinos!
Throughout the restaurant, there are several different areas to sit in. The rooms are themed from different primordial landscapes to color-changing ice caves and fern forests.

The ice caves!
During your meal, you’ll even experience a meteor shower even 20 minutes.

How cute is he?
The restaurant is very family-friendly and has a loud, talkative atmosphere. It has lots of excitement and happy kids exploring the restaurant. But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
The menu features a lot of familiar favorites. The menu is American-inspired and features appetizers, seafood options, soups, salads, pasta, burgers, and sandwiches.

The food!
As far as the drinks go, they offer several signature cocktails as well as wine, beer, and smoothies! You can even find drinks called The Big Chills, which are specialty non-alcoholic beverages.

The drinks
And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Buffalo Chicken Dip for $16.99! It’s made with shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, cheddar, and bleu cheese crumbles. Tortilla chips are served on the side.

The Buffalo Chicken dip!
Honestly, there is so much to love about this dip! It is exactly what it says it is, buffalo chicken goodness in dip form served with tortilla chips. It is served warm, and it is ooey, gooey, creamy, and delicious. It has plenty of buffalo flavor, which we loved.

A scoop!
It does have a bit of kick to it, so if you’re avoiding even the slightest of spice, don’t get this. We would happily get this again!
Next in the meal, we grabbed the Boneyard Buffet for $35.99. It’s fire-roasted rotisserie chicken, slow-roasted St. Louis-style pork spareribs, seasoned fries, and coleslaw.

The Boneyard Buffet
The ribs were surprisingly good. The meat was super tender and was even falling off the bone! There was a nice crust on the outside, and it was smothered in sauce. The sauce was on the sweeter side, but still tasty.

The rib!
The chicken was on the dry side, which was kinda disappointing. You do get a large piece of chicken, but we do feel it needed a sauce with it. Next time, we would ask for extra barbecue on the side.

The chicken!
The coleslaw was just that — coleslaw. It was nothing special, but it was good! It was sweet with a creamy dressing and had a good crunch to it. It also tasted semi-fresh, which we appreciated.

Have some coleslaw
The fries were underneath the chicken and ribs, so they got a bit soggy by the time we got to enjoy them. They were your classic thick-cut fries, but there was really nothing special about them. They were seasoned, but nothing that blew our minds.

Another view of the food!
For dessert, we grabbed the Abrictosaurus Apple Crisp for $13.99. It’s made with Granny Smith apples, a buttery crumble, salted caramel sauce, and whipped topping.

The apple crumble!
This was like a slice of apple pie, but the top was crumble instead of pie crust! It was super tasty. The apples were tender, and they didn’t have a super saucy filling. There were tons of apples in it.

A closer look
The crumble was crispy and full of spices, and it leaned heavily on the cinnamon. We would have liked to see a bit more of the crumble on top. The ice cream was served on the side, and we wish there was also more of it.

A scoop!
After all that food, we needed to wash it down!
Drinks
To drink, we picked up the Journey to the Center for $13! It was made with Don Q Cristal Rum, Cruzan Mango Rum, Cruzan Strawberry Rum, triple sec, fruit juices, and grenadine.

Journey to the Center
This drink reminded us of a fruit punch! It is very fruity, with strong notes of cherry and orange. You also get hints of strawberry. It was sweet and fruity. There isn’t much tartness at all to balance it, so you will want to like sweet drinks.

Another look at it
It was on the stronger side, but there wasn’t an alcoholic taste to it, so be careful with this one!

This is my all-time favorite! Great fun atmosphere. Solid, American food…no weird ingredients. I usually get the fish. Delish! Wait times between ordering and eating are not bad. Lots to see while waiting! Menu prices can be pricier than expected but you get a lot for what you pay for. Tell them if you’re celebrating something! They’ll go extra special on the dessert and give a short performance! Air conditioning. Ambience. Good food. What more can you ask for?!
Those thick cut fries only looked skinny to me. The dessert looked lovely but small for the money. I haven’t been here for many years but do enjoy it.
Great place to take children who love dinosaurs! Food was quite good. Everyone had fun and you can get a discount (up to 4 people) if you are a Vacation Club Member. I would go back again with the family.
What can you say… whether owned by Disney or not, it is a pricy lunch or dinner.
