When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well.
We recently stopped by Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort to see what new items they’ve cooked up, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here!
Atmosphere
Yachtsman Steakhouse is a New England-style steakhouse where you can savor premium steaks, fresh seafood, and more. It’s also one of Disney World’s signature dining restaurants, which means you can expect a more sophisticated vibe to the restaurant’s menu offerings, decor, theming, and service while you dine.
It’s also been one of our favorites to recommend over the years for your visits to Disney World! We’ve found the steaks here to be some of the best on property, and the service is often excellent, so when we spotted a few recent changes to their menu offerings, we knew we needed to investigate to be sure they aligned with our current recommendations for this restaurant.
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
The menu you’ll find here is incredible and features a gourmet array of steaks, entrees, appetizers, and desserts.
You’ll encounter the First Course…

And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
To start, we dived right into the Bread Service, which was included with our meal. We were served Sourdough and Onion Bread Rolls with Butter, topped with Pink Himalayan Sea Salt and Roasted Garlic.
This was a perfect way to start our meal. The bread was welcoming, warm, and soft. It peeled apart so we could spread the butter and garlic on top, turning it into a garlic knot flavor. The rolls with onions were not over-the-top in terms of onion flavor, but had a beautiful taste that added to the warmth of the bread. It had a great chew without being too hard or too soft.
We know you’re excited to dive into your appetizer or entree, but don’t forget to check out the bread!
We grabbed the Beet Tartare for $16. This is made of Citrus-roasted Beets, Cherry Vinaigrette, Roasted Red Bell Peppers, Avocado, Yuzu, White Soy “Egg”, Crostini.
We’re always on the hunt for a great vegan option that is packed with flavor, and this one made the list! We tasted the herbs and loved the zest in each bite.
There was a mix of textures, and the flavor came right at the beginning of the bite before falling off, letting you want to grab your next bite.
We also grabbed the Black Garlic Fettuccini for $38. This is made with House-made Fettuccine, Seared Baby Squash, Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes, Mushroom Conserva, and Creamy Black Garlic Sauce.
Did we really go to a steakhouse for vegan fettuccini and want to book another reservation to come back and do it again? Yes, we did. This dish was worth the trip with the different textures, a strong taste of black pepper without being overwhelming. The whole dish was filling, and we loved how it wasn’t swimming in sauce but had the perfect amount sticking to the noodles. The garlic on top reminded us of bacon bites and provided a crunch with eat bite. We’re obsessed!
To round out the new menu items here, we ended our meal with the Berries and Cream for $15. This is made with Rich Berry-infused “Crème”, Vanilla Sponge, House-made Pink “Chocolate,” Macerated Berries.
Again, did we think we were going to become obsessed with a vegan berry dessert at a steakhouse? No, we didn’t, but we are thrilled. It’s made with vegan milk chocolate, and the mousse was whipped to create peaks and holes, making it incredibly fluffy.
The berry flavor was strong! It felt like they used every type of berry they could find, and we were eating it up. From the crunch, the light whipped cream, and the bite of the berries, we were in heaven.
Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re looking for a steakhouse with vegan options
- You are looking for a nicer dinner to relax at after a busy park day
- You want a variety of dining options at a restaurant located close, but outside of the theme parks
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You are looking for a less expensive dining option
- You want a larger variety of options outside of traditional steakhouse dishes
- You prefer a more family-friendly dining location
Overall
Were we completely blown away by vegan options at a steakhouse? Yes, but we love to be taken by surprise! This restaurant is a DFB favorite, and now we can recommend it to even more people with these delicious vegan options. We’ll be back for the fettuccine and dessert because they were truly THAT good.
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
