One of our favorite signature dining restaurants in Disney World just got a HUGE menu update! We’ve been singing the praises of Tiffins Restaurant for years and it’s the kind of restaurant at Disney World that leaves a lasting impression — in a good way. While we’ve enjoyed their menu items including their delicious Bread Service for years, they’ve recently made some changes to the menu that we decided needed investigating ASAP!
We recently stopped by Tiffins Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to try out their newest menu items, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here!
Atmosphere
Tiffins Restaurant brings signature dining to Disney World’s wildest park. It marries together a celebration of travel between the theming, the menu, and atmosphere reflecting the locales that inspired the park itself.
The walls are lined with beautiful artwork found within each of the three dining rooms. When you stop by for a visit, your server will encourage you to make your way around each of the dining rooms to explore and enjoy the displays, the same way you would experience an art gallery.
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
There’s a fairly extensive menu offered here for lunch and dinner. You’ll start with a few appetizer options (which is what we were most interested in due to the changes)…

…then move on to main entrees.

There are also a few enhancements and desserts offered here, too!

Don’t worry — there’s plenty of options here for kids to enjoy…

…as well as a specialty drink!

For drinks, there are a few non-alcoholic beverages as well as cocktails!

And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
To start, we had to grab the Bread Service for $18! This includes Thai Red Curry Milk Bread, Pão de Queijo, Papadam, Coconut-Curry Sauce, Guava Sauce, Ginger-Pear Chutney.
The Pão de Queijo was our favorite, which is almost always the case for everyone who tries it, but we also loved the Papadam. The Thai Red Curry Milk Bread was fantastic with the Ginger-Pear Chutney, but it is a LOT of ginger, so we don’t recommend putting much on.
The spices, the crunch of the bread, and the overall flavors here are fantastic. We recommend it time and time again!
Then we grabbed the Seared Yellowfin Tuna with Pork and Shrimp Dumpling for $19.This is served with Rice Masago-crusted Tuna, and Gochujang Sweet Chili Sauce.
Our only complaint here is that it’s an appetizer and not an entree, because it was incredible! The sweet chili spices partner perfectly with the yellowfin tuna, and the dumpling itself is an incredible texture. The textures here are all brilliant, and we overall can’t say enough wonderful things about it — PLEASE give it a try!
Next up was the Passion Fruit Hamachi Crudo, which will set you back $21. This dish is made with Passion Fruit and Sesame Leche de Tigre, Pickled Pineapple, Cilantro Oil, Szechuan Chili Crunch.
The pineapple and passionfruit flavors here are very prominent, very in your face, so if you’re not a fan of those flavors or cilantro, this will NOT be the dish for you. The fish flavor is there as well, but it definitely takes a backseat. Honestly, it was like drinking your own personal sauce of pineapple, passionfruit, lime, and cilantro, which sounds rough, but we didn’t mind it since our reporter loves sour things. Overall, it’s pretty adventurous, but if you’re open to these flavors, it’s worth a try.
To round us out, we also ordered the Coconut-Ube Cauliflower Soup for $14. It’s made of Miso Caramel, Roasted Cauliflower and Mushroom, Fried Garlic.
This was INCREDIBLE, we could eat literally every drop of it and have no complaints. It’s thick, sweet, and you can definitely taste that roasted miso caramel and garlic flavor coming through, and it almost reminds us of teriyaki in the best way. Again, this is a more adventurous option, but we absolutely recommend!
Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re an adventurous eater
- You want a great, quality sit-down meal
- You’re spending the whole day in Animal Kingdom
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You’re a picky eater, or have picky eaters in your group
- You’re in a rush and prefer quick service meals

Overall
Tiffins never fails to let us down, and we love pretty much every meal we have here. If you’re a pickier eater or don’t want to be adventurous with your eats, we don’t necessarily recommend it, but otherwise, it’s a must-visit in our eyes!

Been going to AK forever but never heard of this restaurant! However, we are not “adventurous eaters” (nobody likes grits or coconut anything)! Our favorite restaurant was done away with several years ago, a large cafeteria style with lots of African ambience and a wall size map I’d give anything to have owned! Much plainer food. I always got the chicken and rice! Thank goodness for today’s Harambe Market. I do admit the ambience at Tiffin’s looks amazing. I’d try it out just to see the inside! You don’t say where in AK it is located? After all our visits, I honestly have no clue!
Hi Cate! Tiffins Restaurant is located on Discovery Island at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, near the entrance to Pandora – The World of Avatar. It’s situated along the main walkway that connects Discovery Island and Africa. Specifically, it’s near the bridge leading to Pandora.
Is the Gobi Manchurian really back? We read a couple of weeks ago that it was taken off the menu. It was our family’s favorite thing there, and we always got one or two dishes of it. Please tell us it’s really back!

I first heard of Tiffins many years ago and every time I go, it’s simply marvelous. For those who love spicy , you have it but for those who don’t and still love an incredible meal, you have it as well. Every time I go Animal Kingdom I go and I’ve brought friends just for diner or to sit outside at the Nomad lounge for my birthday with a charcuterie noatd. That entire complex had the best food and ambiance at the same level as Mr Paul but different. You simply can’t go wrong.
