When it comes to dining at Disneyland, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well.

We recently stopped by Paradise Garden Grill at Disney’s California Adventure to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to Disneyland Resort? Find out here!
Atmosphere
Paradise Garden Grill is a charming counter‑service gem tucked into the edge of Paradise Pier in Disney’s California Adventure. Their hours right now are 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM so you have plenty of opportunities to grab a bite here.

Paradise Garden Grill
You can order with a Cast Member as well as utilize Mobile Ordering. You will pick up your food at the window and head over to find a place to sit.

Pick Up
The entire dining area shares outdoor seating with neighboring spots like Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta and Bayside Brews — offering both covered and open‑air tables to accommodate Southern California’s temperate climate. Framed by attractions such as Goofy’s Sky School and midway games, the seating feels like a cozy seaside boardwalk retreat.

Seating courtyard
Since this section is often less crowded than core park areas, visitors can enjoy a relatively peaceful meal, especially during off‑peak times, making it a tranquil alternative to more frenetic food court-style quick service venues.

But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
Paradise Garden Grill originally made a name for itself as a spot where guests could enjoy flavorful Mediterranean eats. More recently, however, the spot is better known as a place where you never know exactly what you’ll find… mostly because the menu often changes to help celebrate the current season or to provide offerings for one of the park’s Festivals or celebrations.

Menu
Right now, you can dive into a culinary fiesta, where every bite is a celebration of vibrant Mexican flavors. You can savor mouthwatering dishes like Chicken Taquitos Rojo and Achiote Chicken Salad, each bursting with authentic spices and fresh ingredients. And save room for dessert — the Mango Strawberry Chile-Lime Parfait is a sweet and tangy treat that will leave you craving more.

Menu
We found a few featured beverages available here. Pineapple Agua Fresca, a Hard Peach Tea Seltzer, and the Fresh Pineapple Cocktail.

And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Al Pastor Tacos for $13.99. This is made with Pineapple-Achiote-marinated Pork with Avocado Spread and Tomatillo Salsa, served with Spanish Rice and Refried Beans, topped with Queso Fresco.

Al Pastor Tacos
These tacos brought a fresh and flavorful combination to the dish, with the standout elements being the marinated pork and the vibrant avocado spread. The pork was tender and carried a sweet and savory profile, with a grilled pineapple flavor from the marinade. This touch of sweetness didn’t overpower the dish but instead added a pleasant depth that played nicely with the creamy, fresh avocado. The combination created a balanced bite that leaned more toward comforting than bold. The warm tortillas felt freshly made and held everything together without getting soggy.

Let’s dive in
However, the salsa included with the tacos was nearly undetectable in flavor, and there was little to no spice present in the dish overall. For guests looking for a kick of heat, this may fall short. While the tacos do come with a side of rice and beans for a value comparable to Cocina Cucamonga’s offerings, the sides didn’t add much beyond filler. If you’re craving Mexican flavors at Disneyland Resort, these tacos are a good pick.

Rice and Beans
We also grabbed the Mango Strawberry Chile-Lime Parfait for $6.79 for dessert. This dish has a Mango Mousse, Vanilla Cake, Mango Passion Fruit Compote and Strawberry Chamoy Chile-Lime Gelée. The parfait turned out to be a pleasant surprise. At first glance, the combination of sweet fruits and chile-lime seasoning might sound like an unusual pairing, but the spice was kept very light, just enough to give a hint of warmth without overwhelming the dessert.

Mango Strawberry Chile Lime Parfait
The mango mousse was smooth and refreshing, paired nicely with the slightly firmer, jello-like strawberry layer for a contrast in both flavor and texture. Hints of passion fruit added a tropical brightness that tied everything together, giving the parfait a layered, fruity profile that was more cohesive than expected. While the chile-lime name might suggest a bold or spicy treat, this dessert leans far more toward sweet and mellow, making it approachable even for those wary of heat.

Drinks
To drink, we picked up the Pineapple Agua Fresca for $6.99. This is a Fresh Pineapple Juice Beverage. This is a simple yet satisfying refreshment and perfect for beating the heat. Made with just pineapple juice and water, this drink offers a naturally sweet and mellow pineapple flavor that’s more fresh than it is tart. There’s no overwhelming sweetness or artificial taste, just a light, clean sip that’s especially welcome on a hot park day. While it may not be the most complex beverage on the menu, its simplicity and refreshingly cool nature make it an easy repeat purchase when you’re in need of a quick cool-down.

Nosh or Not
This restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re looking for fresh and unique flavors. Dishes like the Al Pastor Tacos and Mango Strawberry Chile-Lime Parfait deliver vibrant, unexpected flavor combinations that stand out from typical theme park fare.
- You want peaceful outdoor seating. Shared with neighboring restaurants, the spacious, shady seating area provides a relaxing break from the busier areas of the park.
- You visit during a festival. The restaurant frequently updates its offerings to match current festivals and events, giving guests something new to try with each visit.
You should skip this spot if…
- The weather isn’t good. All seating is outdoors and shared with nearby locations, so on extremely hot or rainy days, it may not be the most comfortable dining experience.
- You want bold flavors. While the food is fresh, it tends to play it safe—those looking for bold, spicy, or deeply seasoned dishes might find the flavors a bit underwhelming.
Overall
Overall, Paradise Garden Grill offers a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of outdoor seating, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy a meal away from the crowds. With a rotating menu tied to seasonal events and festivals, the restaurant provides a fresh take on theme park dining, offering dishes that feel more unique and balanced compared to typical quick-service fare. During our visit, the Al Pastor Tacos stood out for their sweet and savory pork paired with vibrant avocado spread, and the Mango Strawberry Chile-Lime Parfait surprised us with how well its fruity flavors came together.

Paradise Garden Grill
That said, not everything wowed us. While the Al Pastor Tacos were tasty, they didn’t quite beat out other options nearby like the tacos at Cocina Cucamonga. The accompanying rice and beans felt more like filler than a standout side. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and the laid-back setting, and we’d definitely return during a seasonal menu refresh. Next time, though, we might skip the tacos in favor of trying a different entrée and save room to share dessert.
