Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is right around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited to see our favorite characters dressed up in costumes and eat the most candy EVER!
During this event, there are tons of exclusive snacks to try, merchandise to check out, and, of course, trick-or-treating and riding some of your favorite rides with low waits. Heads up — one ride will NOT be available this year!
Personally, getting to ride some of my favorite attractions with very low waits is one of my favorite parts of the party, and I know a lot of you feel the same way! The majority of rides in the park will be available throughout the night, and some of them even have special Halloween overlays.
However, this year, there’s one less ride on the list, because Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Tomorrowland closes for a months-long refurbishment on August 4th. Typically, this ride is pretty popular during the party, so we’re bummed we won’t be able to ride it this year.
During its refurbishment, this attraction will be getting handheld blasters with new lighting and sound effects, the ride vehicles themselves will get a new paint job inspired by Star Command as well as screens that update your score in real time, an all-new scene at the beginning of the ride with a new character, and new targets that react when hit.
There are still plenty of rides to hop on with short waits, including super popular attractions like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Jungle Cruise, and TRON Lightcycle / Run. If you haven’t had a chance to experience TRON at night, this is a great way to see all the lights glowing while you ride.

Been to the Halloween party a few times with my grandkids. Cannot justify paying close to $200.00 per person especially with certain rides closed.
