Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort isn’t just known for its laid-back tropical vibes, but it’s also a major transportation hub for the Disney Skyliner.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Skyliner
As the central station where multiple Skyliner lines connect, Caribbean Beach offers guests incredibly easy access to EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and other nearby resorts. But a rare route change is now affecting that convenience, and if you’re staying at Caribbean Beach, you’ll want to know about this before your stay.
On nights when EPCOT offers Extended Evening Hours, an extra benefit typically reserved for guests staying at Deluxe Resorts, the Disney Skyliner operates on a reduced schedule: it closes one hour after the official Extended Evening Hours end. However, the only route that remains active is the line between EPCOT’s International Gateway and Disney’s Riviera Resort. All other Skyliner routes, including those to Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century, and Disney’s Art of Animation, are completely unavailable during that period.

EPCOT
For most guests staying at Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, or Art of Animation resorts, this shift can be a major inconvenience. Even if you’re physically at EPCOT when the Extended Evening Hours end, you’ll find you can only board the Skyliner if you’re staying at Riviera. Those hoping to return to their home resort via Skyliner will need to rely on Disney bus transportation or other options, which often face long waits after the park event ends. This does make sense because Disney’s Riviera is the only Deluxe Resort found on the Skyliner system.

Inside the Disney Skyliner
Guests should also note that travelling on the Disney Skyliner will not allow them to access the EPCOT parking lot after EPCOT has closed for the day. If you are attempting to return to your parked car, you will need to find transportation, such as a Disney bus.

Why wouldn’t a guest at Caribbean not be able to board and get off at Riviera and walk?
Could you still take Skyliner to Rivera and walk to CBR as Aruba and Martinique aren’t far OR are they scanning your band/app/card and only allowing Rivera guests to board?
And if you are in the EPCOT area after extended hours, you may not be able to get a bus to AoA & Pop as their bus stop areas direct you to the Skyliner.
