Don’t worry — you’re not breaking ANY Disneyland rules if you bring these items with you to the parks!
Just like Disney World, the Disneyland Resort has some pretty strict rules regarding prohibited items. With that said, you’d be surprised by some of the things Disney lets you bring into the parks. In fact, there are 3 items Disneyland allows into The Happiest Place on Earth that you might not even think about unless you know beforehand!
When it comes to PERMITTED items at Disneyland, there are a few that aren’t very obvious…
Outside Food and Drinks
While Disneyland is a place of entertainment that has no shortage of ways to get money from you, it operates differently from places like movie theaters because you’re actually allowed to bring in your own food and non-alcoholic beverages.
While we definitely recommend checking out some of the delicious eats the Disneyland Resort has to offer, you’re not forced to buy any food at the resort. In fact, you can bring your own refillable water bottles and never pay for water either! It is totally possible to eat and drink for free during your stay.
If you’re in the market for a lunch bag to store your snacks, check out this Hydro Flask Lunch Bag available on Amazon!
This bag is insulated, reusable, and closes with a zipper to keep your snacks stored safely. Available in multiple color options, this lunch bag is a great option for a day out and about — including Disney days!
Coolers
Speaking of snacks, did you know that some coolers are actually allowed in the Disneyland theme parks?
While there are size restrictions, guests can bring coolers 6-pack-sized or smaller into the parks! Coolers that are larger are allowed in the hotels, but that’s about it. Exceptions may be made for special dietary or religious needs.
If you want to keep your drinks and snacks chilled throughout the day, consider bringing the RTIC 6-Can Everyday Cooler!
This cooler is available on Amazon with different color options and is awesome for preserving drinks and snacks during a long Disney day. Best of all, it includes multiple storage pockets inside and out to store items like napkins, silverware, wallets, and keys safely, and even features a removable stainless steel bottle opener!
Tripods
At this point, it’s no secret that the Disney Parks have controversially banned selfie sticks, but did you know that you can still bring tripods with you inside the parks as long as they fit certain dimension requirements?
According to the Disneyland rules and regulations, “Folding tripod stands or monopod stands that can fit inside a standard backpack are permitted.” If you’re in the market for a Disney Parks-approved tripod, check out the Amazon Basics Tripod!
This super affordable 10-inch tripod is portable and flexible, making it a great choice for a Disney day accessory! The tripod also comes with a wireless remote and smartphone clamp, giving you a lot of creative ways to permanently capture your Disneyland memories!
