We’re getting spooky at the Magic Kingdom! If you’ve ever been to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you might have stopped to watch some of the incredible entertainment, like the fireworks show.
While the fireworks show, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, is available with your party ticket, you can upgrade to a special experience to take your fireworks viewing to the next level. Come join us for Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace in Magic Kingdom!
Atmosphere
You’ll start your dessert party at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant to the right of Main Street, U.S.A. This large restaurant will host your food along with your viewing of the fireworks show. You can check in 1.5 hours before the start of the fireworks, so you can enjoy all your treats before and during the fireworks. You can stock up on tons of sweet treats and a drink and feel like the coolest person around while watching the fireworks.
To experience this, you’ll want to make sure you book an advanced reservation. You can do this directly on the Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app. You can usually book 60 days in advance, and keep in mind that a limited number of seats are available each night.
Menu
For the event, there are set options for treats and drinks that you can pick up during your viewing. You’ll be able to dine on “delicious desserts such as chocolate-dipped strawberries, mini cannoli, and chef-inspired creations” along with “a variety of cheeses” and beverages, including beer and wine for those over 21.
No matter which night you choose, the prices are the same: $119 for those 10 and older and $75 for guests 3 to 9. This does not include tax and gratuity. You’ll also need a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket for the same night of your dessert party, which can range from $119 to $229, so this event comes with a price tag. Is it worth it?
Drinks
We grabbed a glass of champagne, and it was the perfect start to our dessert party. It was served warmed, but we still thought it was tasty. There is a limit to two alcoholic beverages per person, so definitely keep that in mind if you are looking at booking the dessert party!
You can choose from a variety of alcoholic beverages, including wines and beers…
…as well as non-alcoholic beverages like lemonade, strawberry lemonade, and POG juice.
Eats
The treats are all you can eat, and they are served buffet style. The food options are definitely heavy on the sweets, but you can grab some crackers and cheese or Trick or Treat Mix if you are looking for a savory option. Amongst the buffet, you can find your classic bakery items like cookies and brownies, and then there are also some specialty items to choose from. During Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party, you can even grab some fun, Halloween-themed desserts!
Some of the options include Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Chocolate Silk Pie, Pumpkin Cream Puff, Candy Corn Verrine, Key Lime-Blueberry Mousse, Vanilla Green Velvet Cupcake, Caramel Apple Crepe, Devil’s Chocolate Pudding, and more. Most of the desserts are bite-sized which means you can try even more of them!
We started off with a plate of cheeses and crackers, and we have to say, these really hit the spot! We likely needed a bit of salt, but we devoured this plate. It is your classic cheese and crackers, but we definitely enjoyed it. There is a variety of cheese and crackers, so you can mix and match and choose your favorites.
We also grabbed a Caramel Apple Crepe. This crepe was thick and while it had the flavor of caramel apple, we weren’t the biggest fans. It was almost too much, and it ended up tasting a bit like eating a candle instead of a crepe.
We also loaded up on other dessert offerings! We decided to grab a little bit of everything, focusing on the more specialty Halloween items. Our plate had a great assortment of options, and we thought these desserts looked so cute. However, we were a bit disappointed in them overall. There were a lot of pudding textures throughout the desserts. If you are craving a good pudding, you will likely be very happy, but we wish there was a bit more variety.
However, we did enjoy some of the desserts like the Oogie Boogie Cookies and Cream Cupcake and the Chocolate Silk Pie. These had your classic flavors, but they were the favorites that we tried. The cannolis were also tasty, although they were a bit soggy. But we did appreciate that they were cold!
We were really excited about the desserts, but we ended up being pretty underwhelmed by the flavors and options. They do look pretty darn cute, though! And we are about to get to the best part — the fireworks!
Fireworks
During the party, entertainment is one of the most popular offerings, and with back-to-back shows like the Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and of course, the fireworks, which can lead to quite a bit of chaos in front of Cinderella Castle. We loved having this option to avoid some of the crowds! It was nice to know that we had a spot guaranteed and didn’t need to line up early to secure a spot.
With the dessert party, you get to enjoy the Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show from the comfort of Tomorrowland Terrace with all your goodies. It was definitely a much more relaxing experience to be at a reserved table and out of the chaos that can happen around Cinderella Castle. You get a good view of the fireworks, and you can easily hear the soundtrack! Honestly, we wish you could pay just for the reserved seating and skip over the all-you-can-eat desserts.
Nosh or Not
You should add this to your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party if…
- You’ve been to the Halloween party before and are looking for a different experience.
- You LOVE desserts and sweet treats.
- You prefer reserved fireworks viewing so you don’t have to worry about securing a spot.
You should pass on this experience if…
- You want to prioritize other elements of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary since this event can take a lot of time.
- You don’t want to spend an additional $100 per person, which can add up quickly, and doesn’t include your party ticket.
- You are wanting options for savory treats or have picky eaters when it comes to sweets.
Overall
While this experience is on the costly side, we think this is such a fun way to take your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to the next level. The party can usually be chaotic while trying to accomplish everything, and we loved knowing the fireworks weren’t something we had to worry about. The food wasn’t as great as we were hoping it would be, but we did really enjoy watching the fireworks while sipping on our champagne! We feel like the main draw for this experience is definitely the reserved viewing for the fireworks.

Did you happen to notice if there were allergy friendly options besides the fruit? We have tickets for this but I’m allergic to dairy and eggs
We are doing this in a few days and looking forward to it (specifically for the viewing without a hassle idea). The food is not important but being able to enjoy the projection and not be stampeded will be a new concept lol
