A huge change is coming to Disneyland!

Oga’s in Disneyland!
Oga’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge has been a popular bar since the moment it opened. The Star Wars-themed lounge has recently announced a massive change that might make it easier to dine and drink in space.
Oga’s Cantina no longer requires reservations! On their website, Disney wrote, “Beginning August 19th, Oga’s Cantina will transition to walk-up availability with a traditional standby queue and will no longer offer new reservations.”

They shared that any existing reservations will still be honored even after reservations are removed. The popular bar’s reservations were initially a super tough get for your Disneyland vacation when it first opened in 2019. You can find space foods, cocktails, and more at this spot.

We’re eager to see how this will impact crowds in the bar and what lines will look like after today, when the reservations are removed! You can read our most recent Oga’s review right here. Keep following DFB for more Disney news and updates.

I have no idea what Oga’s in Disneyland is like, but we are just about fed up enough with the experience at Oga’s in WDW that we may never go back – and that’s WITH being able to secure reservations! NO WAY would we wait in line for that experience. The Disneyland experience must be much better. Either that, or they are actually counting on going to stand by only as a way of actually cutting back on demand, but that seems unlikely. If you want to cut down on the crowds, just accept fewer reservations! I can’t imagine what this is about except possibly eliminating guest dissatisfaction with not being able to get reservations, although I doubt spending precious park minutes (and hours) waiting in line is likely to make people happier. The wait at WDW’s Oga’s is bad enough when you have reservations, but at least you’re not waiting in a line.
Last May we went to Ogas cantina , they asked my son , who is 25 years old for ID. My son , who is Canadian, showed two pieces of ID. They said Canadian ID is not accepted. They asked my son for his passport. I don’t know about you, but who carries a passport around as a form of ID? Of course my son did not have his passport and they refused to serve him alcohol. Ruined the whole experience for us.
