Disney‘s newest lounge is almost here! Over in Magic Kingdom, the brand-new Beak and Barrel lounge opens on August 29th, 2025. The new dining spot in the park will be a “first-of-its-kind experience” that “will extend the story of Pirates of the Caribbean.”
Before the lounge officially opens to the public, we’re headed inside to check out the new food and drinks, and we’re bringing you with us! Let’s head inside!
Inside the Beak and Barrel, which is located in Adventureland, you’ll find a story that continues the Pirates of the Caribbean legacy! A legendary pirate rumrunner called Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn established this “lively pirate pub.” Rummy, her first mate, is the tavern’s quartermaster and keeps an eye on the lounge from a roost at the top.
When it comes to the family-friendly menu, you can find “tasty options for pirates of all ages — as well as refreshing cocktails for Guests ages 21 and up.” While alcohol is nothing new to Magic Kingdom (you can grab adult beverages at Table Service locations in the park), this new lounge does feel a bit different. During our stop by, we checked out the new menu items, and we have some thoughts!
We got chance to try out some of the new food and drink, and we are giving you our thoughts! We started out with the Plunderer’s Punch for $46.00. This is made with The Kraken Black Spiced Rum, blackberry, lime, and vanilla. It is served in a souvenir pirate skull mug — the reason why it costs almost $50!
We thought the souvenir cup was gorgeous and it actually holds a fair amount of drink. It doesn’t have a heavy rum flavor to it, and it is more of a hint of rum. It is very fruit forward with a tropical flavor to it.
We also got to try the Cursed Treasure, which costs $7.75. This is a non-alcoholic drink option, and it is an indulgent blend of coconut milk and cookie crumbs topped with vanilla foam and pirate’s gold.
This one tasted almost like a cream soda, but without the carbonated aspect. It is heavy on the creaminess, and you get a toasted flavor from the cookie crumbs. We enjoyed this drink, but it is definitely on the sweeter side.
We also tried the Treasure Trove, which is another non-alcoholic option. It costs $13.75 and it is a mysterious ube, lemon, and coconut concoction served with a vanilla cake plank, chocolate cannonball, and golden caramel popcorn.
The drink was very ube forward and the main flavors we got from it was ube and lemon. Ube tastes like a mix of sweet potato, vanilla, and coconut, with a nutty flavor and a bit of earthiness. It had some sweetness to it and a bit of nuttiness from the ube. It was served with a vanilla cake pop that tasted like a standard cake pop that was covered in chocolate. There was also a chocolate cannonball that was very thick on the inside, like a cake. You also get a few pieces of caramel popcorn that tasted fresh and was sticky.
To eat, we got to try the Island Provisions, which costs $16.00. It features plantain chips, blue corn tortillas, and toasted flatbread served with mango chutney, garlic chimichurri, spiced guava, and zesty culantro cream dips.
When they bring this dish out to you, the crew members do a fun chant! The zesty culantro cream dip reminded us of a ranch dressing, but with a bit more flavor. The chutney was tasty, with a sweet and fruity flavor at first followed by a tangy and more savory aftertaste.
The spiced guava reminded us of a sweet barbecue sauce. The garlic chimichurri was heavy on the garlic and cilantro flavors. The plantain chips were decent and the blue corn chips are the same as you would get anywhere else.
That is not all that you can get at The Beak and Barrel, though! Here is a look at everything else you can snack and sip on:

Very interested in the meals at the new Pirates restaurant. Please post your reviews.
Do they only do the 2 non alcholic drinks? As we dont drink, but I also have an intollerance to coconut, which both non alcholic drinks contain. Would we be allowed to book and go and have just some of the bar food? Would they do tap water? Thanks
Hi! Yes, you would be able to just order food and get water.
