Halloween is in full swing over at Disneyland Resort, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Not only is Oogie Boogie Bash happening, but you can also celebrate the holiday by grabbing some of the special snacks around the resort throughout the day. We’ve tried 14 of the snacks around Disneyland, and are here to help you decide if they’re worth your money, or if they’re better to skip!
Disney California Adventure
Studio Catering Co.
Starting out strong, we grabbed the Oogie Boogie Burrito for $14.49. This is made with carne asada, French fries, spicy blue tortilla chips, pico de gallo, guacamole, and crema.
This was incredible! So much so that we’ll be thinking about it forever and will be craving it immensely when it’s gone. This burrito has so much flavor and texture — the crunch from the spicy blue chips works perfectly with the creamy texture of the tart guacamole — and there’s also a good amount of heat.
It is the perfect amount of food for a small meal or a big snack — we can’t recommend it enough!
Cozy Cone Motel
Next up was the Pumpkin Pie Churro for $6.99, which is a classic churro topped with pumpkin cream and pie crust pieces.
If you love the classic Disneyland Churro and want a tasty pumpkin flare, this will do it! It’s pumpkin forward and has that seasonal pumpkin pie taste, and hits the spot. We have no complaints, and recommend it 100% for pumpkin fans.
Outdoor Vending Locations
At the outdoor vending locations around the park, you can find the Oogie Boogie Chocolate Chip Cookie for $7.75.
This is such a picture perfect cookie and it’s also pretty great when it comes to taste as well. It’s not technically a chocolate chip cookie, though — it’s more chocolate with chocolate and frosting. It’s very rich but isn’t anything super special. If you want something pretty classic, we recommend, but beware that it melts FAST!
Paradise Garden Grill
We tried two different options here, starting with the Loaded Chicken Quesadilla with achiote chicken and roasted peppers & onions, topped with chipotle crema, guacamole, and pico de gallo for $14.49.
This was hands down the best thing our reporter has ever had at Paradise Garden Grill! It’s massive and completely worth the price. We’ve never had a quesadilla that was so loaded with so much filling and flavor! The sauces added to the flavors and the quesadilla as a whole had just the right amount of heat, but if you’re sensitive to heat, beware this one.
Also available here for the season is the Buñuelos Biónico for $9.99. This is fried tortilla chips coated in cinnamon and sugar, loaded with fresh fruit, toasted coconut, and sweetened condensed banana milk.
We feel like this may be a little overpriced for what you get, but the taste of the treat is on point! The fresh fruit is perfect on a hot day, and the sweet condensed banana milk is refreshing and goes so well with the other ingredients. It may not be the best for picky eaters, but we were big fans!
Señor Buzz Churros
Here you can grab the Strawberry Horchata Churro, which is a classic churro rolled in horchata sugar, topped with horchata whipped topping, caramel sauce, and fresh strawberries.
This was unexpectedly delicious! It looked pretty generic with caramel and strawberries, but it all came together and was delicious. The horchata sugar was great, and the flavor of the whipped cream was refreshing! There were enough strawberries for each bite, but it wasn’t overpowering, and while it didn’t totally remind us of fall, we did enjoy it.
Terran Treats
Finally, we grabbed the Celestial Chocolate Churro for $7.50, which is a churro rolled in cocoa sugar, topped with pistachio cream, chocolate sauce, crispy phyllo dough crumbles, and crushed pistachios.
This, unfortunately, was just flat out not worth it. The whipped cream flavor was off to us — it’s supposed to taste like pistachio cream, but it has a really artificial flavor and totally threw us off. We don’t recommend this one at all and suggest skipping it.
Disneyland Park
The Golden Horseshoe
First up in Disneyland was The Bride Sundae for $9.99, which is brownie cake, vanilla ice cream, cookies and crème chocolate crumble, whipped topping, and chocolate sauce.
While it wasn’t insanely pretty, this was very good and we recommend it to those looking for a rich and chocolate-y dessert! The rich vanilla ice cream seeped into the brownie cake which had a soft and moist texture with a rich chocolate flavor. Our only complaint is that we would have liked to have some more oreo crumbs, as we only had two bites with it, but otherwise, we think this is a great, simple treat for chocolate lovers.
Popcorn Stand near Star Trader
Next up was the Spicy Pickle Popcorn for $7.50, which is popcorn tossed with crushed hot cheese puffs and dill pickle seasoning.
We were surprised that we liked this as much as we did! This has a nice mix of flavors though that balances everything out perfectly. The main flavor is the heat and cheesy flavor that comes from the hot Cheetos, followed by a light tangy flavor from the dill seasoning. There’s a bit of that buttery and salty flavor that makes the normal Disneyland popcorn so good, but it’s a lot easier to notice if you’re skipping over the hot Cheetos.
Alien Pizza Planet
There are two options available here, starting with the Haunted Heatwave Pizza for $9.49. This is spiced blush sauce topped with mozzarella and pepper jack, Italian sausage, classic and crispy cupped pepperoni, smoked bratwurst, and sliced red Fresno chiles garnished with basil and hot honey drizzle.
This is basically a meat lovers pizza with a bit of a sweet heat coming from the hot honey, but it wasn’t as hot as we were expecting. Without paying attention, it’s kind hard to make out what’s what, as everything just kinda tasted like a spicy sausage or pepperoni from the hot honey and chili flakes. We did enjoy it overall, but just know it won’t be something that knocks your socks off!
We also grabbed the Pumpkin Spiced Breadsticks for $6.79, which are breadsticks rolled in pumpkin spiced sugar served with a caramel cream cheese sauce.
The caramel sauce here was wonderful, but we felt the the pumpkin spice flavor on the breadsticks was too strong and artificial. The sauce helped tamp down the artificial flavor of the pumpkin a bit, but we wouldn’t have the breadstick without the sauce.
Little Red Wagon
Then we grabbed the Chili Cheese Corn Dog for $14.79, which is a classic corn dog topped with spicy chili, jalapeño-cilantro crema, cheddar cheese, and crispy onions served with a choice of Cuties Mandarin Oranges or potato chips.
We were originally afraid this combo would be a little too much, but we were wrong! The heavy meaty flavor from the chili took away from the hot dog though, so we really only noticed the texture from the hot dog. The chili wasn’t taste spicy at all to us, and neither was the jalapeño cilantro crema. It didn’t ruin the dish for us, but we were surprised that there wasn’t any spice at all.
The combo of cornbread and chili was our favorite part of this! The sweet and warm corn bread went perfectly with the rich and meaty chili. It can be pretty messy, so be careful and remember to grab lots of napkins.
Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree
We were so excited to try the Cherry Cobbler Funnel Cake Fries for $10.29, which are cinnamon sugar-dusted funnel cake fries, cherry pie filling, vanilla ice cream, and streusel.
There wasn’t too much going on here flavor wise, but that doesn’t mean this wasn’t delicious! It’s a simple dessert where everything works together so well — the cherry pie filling has a fresh and vibrant cherry flavor which went perfectly with the rich vanilla ice cream. The funnel cake fries were warm and fresh with a sweet cinnamon flavor. If you love cherry, we say this is totally worth a try.
Harbour Galley
Finally, we grabbed the Pumpkin Cookies With Cream Cheese Spread, which are available in a 6-pack for $7.79 or a 13-pack for $13.79.
These are phenomenal! They’re served warm, have a nice crunch on the outside, and are soft on the inside. We loved cream cheese spread as well — it has some pumpkin seasoning on top, and we personally love using the spread to make a cookie sandwich.

WE really loved the Darth by Chocolate treat from Galactic Grill. Lots of flavor and lots of texture.
