We’re checking out a festival-favorite — the Hawai’i booth at the 2025 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival!
The 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has officially opened, and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you, we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to the Hawai’i booth to check out all the eats! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!
Menu
This year’s menu at Hawai’i is a collection of returning favorites, including the Slow-roasted Pork Slider with sweet-and-sour chutney featuring DOLE Pineapple and spicy mayonnaise, the Hawaiian Rice Bowl: Spam, eggs, eel sauce, spicy mayonnaise, and furikake (a Best of the Fest in 2o24!), and a Pineapple Cheesecake with passion fruit curd and macadamia nuts.
Beverages for this year are:
- Florida Orange Groves Winery Sparkling Pineapple Wine
- Maui Brewing Co. Orange Mango Guava Hazy IPA
- O’ahu Sunrise: Vodka, DOLE Pineapple Juice, and grenadine
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Hawaiian Rice Bowl made with Spam, eggs, eel sauce, spicy mayonnaise, and furikake for $6.25. This was one of the Best of the Fest items last year!
This is one of those dishes where even on a big festival day, we ate the WHOLE thing. The flavors balance so excellently together, and it really is just 10/10. The Spam was cooked just right with slightly crispy edges, and the rice was soft. The sauce on top tied it all together nicely.
Next up is the Slow-roasted Pork Slider with sweet-and-sour chutney featuring DOLE Pineapple and spicy mayonnaise for $6.00. In 2024, this was called a Kalua Pork Slider, but the ingredients remain the same for 2025! We’ve enjoyed this sandwich in the past.
And in 2025? It’s still STELLAR. This used to have a bit of a kick a few years ago, but now it’s just a nice combo of sweet and savory. The pork is SO tender and juicy, and the bun is soft. The pineapple flavor comes through nicely, but don’t let it sit too long, or the juice will make your bun soggy.
And finally, for dessert you can grab the Pineapple Cheesecake with passion fruit curd and macadamia nuts for $5.25. This item is also part of Emile’s Fromage Montage this year.
It’s not really anything to write home about — the flavors are there, but they’re not particularly interesting or unique. We could taste the passion fruit, but it was way milder than we were expecting.
Moving on to the drinks!
Drinks
The drinks at Hawai’i are all returning this year!
First up is the Florida Orange Groves Winery Sparkling Pineapple Wine for $10. This wine has been a regular item at EPCOT festivals over the years. It usually has a strong pineapple flavor and is very sweet, so it should be refreshing on a hot day, but only if you enjoy sweet wines.
Next, you can order the Maui Brewing Co. Orange Mango Guava Hazy IPA – a 6 oz pour is $5.75 and a 12 oz pour is $9.75.
And finally, you can get the O’ahu Sunrise made with vodka, DOLE Pineapple Juice, and grenadine for $14.50. Formerly called the Aulani Sunrise, this year it has a new name but the same ingredients. This was sweet and pineapple-forward, a great pairing for the food.
So, should you go to Hawai’i? (Well, yes, you would probably love a vacation, but we’re talking about the booth here.)
OVERALL
Hawai’i is once again a BANGER of a booth. This place has some beloved and truly delicious dishes that are presented beautifully. If you’re into tropical, light, and refreshing flavors, this is a must-visit. The slider is going to be a fan-favorite again, but for us, the rice bowl is the real standout.
Also, it’s important to note that the Hawai’i booth can get VERY busy. It has a prime location and the pork slider is a fan favorite dish, so expect a line when you visit.
We’ll be visiting more booths around the festival, so stay tuned!
