If you are reading this post while hungry, BE WARNED. Seriously, we’re not joking! You’re willing to keep reading? OK, well then — we’ve got some DELICIOUS details to share with you!
The 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has officially opened, and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you, we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — the Germany food booth — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!
Menu
Over at the Germany food booth, you’ll find a variety of available items. This year, we’re seeing all returning Germany classics: Schinkennudeln, Bratwurst, and Apple Strudel.
Selbach-Oster Riesling QbA presents a wine option but — as you might anticipate — beer makes up most of the Beverage menu with the new Schöfferhofer Berry-Lime Hefeweizen and von Trapp Brewing Dunkel Lager joining the Weihenstephaner Festbier this year. The beers may be tried on their own or in a Beer Flight.
“Lass uns Essen!” (Let’s EAT!)
Eats
Schinkennudeln may just be the most popular item at the Germany Booth, and it’s one we’ve loved for years. This rich pasta gratin dish with ham, onions, and cheese costs $5.25. This dish, by the way, is an eligible item if you’re participating in the Emile’s Fromage Montage cheese crawl during the Festival! It’s like a really good baked mac and cheese with a crispy cheese layer on top. The ham adds a nice saltiness, and the noodles are soft. This one is always a favorite, and for a good reason.
The Bratwurst, for $6.25, is served on a pretzel roll with mustard. We will warn you that this is a sturdier roll than a soft one, but the sausage has a great snap and isn’t too strong. The flavor reminds us of a soft breakfast sausage. The mustard is also not overpowering. This is basically more family-friendly version of a true German Bratwurst, but it’s tastier.
The classic Apple Strudel is complete with vanilla sauce and costs $5. Okay, this would be a hit with kids. The apples are cooked really well with lots of cinnamon and some powdered sugar to add a touch of sweetness. The vanilla sauce is almost like a melted ice cream.
The pastry itself has a wonderful flavor and flakiness.
Drinks
The Beer Flight features the new-to-the-Festival Schöfferhofer Berry-Lime Hefeweizen and von Trapp Brewing Dunkel Lager joining the Weihenstephaner Festbier for $12.75.
The Schöfferhofer Berry-Lime Hefeweizen has a strong berry and lime flavor, and it totally reminds us of a Sonic limeade. The beer flavor isn’t strong, so non-beer drinkers might appreciate it. It’s easy to swallow and smooth.
The Weihenstephaner Festbier tastes like a more classic beer with a lot of bite and bitterness. It’s sharp on the tongue and what traditional beer drinkers would like.
The von Trapp Brewing Dunkel Lager is sort of between the two in flavor. It’s a lager, so it has a more aged taste. The flavor lingers for a while, although it rolls off the tongue while the bubbles settle on your lips and the back of your teeth. It’s also more of a traditional beer.
You can get each beer individually for $5.75 for 6 ounces or $9.75 for 12 ounces.
Wine drinkers can opt for the Selbach-Oster Riesling QbA for $9.
OVERALL
If you love cheese or if you’re doing the Cheese Crawl, you should come to this booth for the Schinkennudeln alone. However, if you want something even more classically German, the Bratwurst could satisfy. This is also the perfect booth for beer drinkers who want to try a variety of German beers.
That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
