We have some BIG news for the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival! A new menu item has been added to the Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina for this year’s Festival!
The 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has officially opened, and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you; we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to the Tangierine Cafe: Flavor of the Medina booth to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!
Menu
Call it a Food & Wine Festival miracle, but we finally have a NEW savory dish at Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina! NEW for 2025 is a Moroccan Wrap made with tomato-cucumber relish and garlic sauce served on warm Moroccan flatbread! Well, it’s not REALLY new, but we’ll get to that in a bit.
Returning for this year are the booth’s standards: Moroccan Wrap, Moroccan-spiced lamb kebabs, Plant-based falafel, Stone-baked Moroccan Bread with assorted dips, and the Pistachio Cake with cinnamon pastry cream and candied walnuts for dessert.
Drinks this year are mostly returning from previous festivals, but two of the hard ciders are NEW:
- Fig Cocktail: Kleiner Feigling Fig Liqueur and white cranberry juice
- Keel Farms Blackberry-Pear Hard Cider
- Keel Farms Golden Apple Chai Hard Cider (New)
- Playalinda Brewing Co. Fig, Rhubarb, Orange, and Ginger Hard Cider (New)
- Hard Cider Flight
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!
Eats
We ordered the NEW Moroccan Wrap for $6.25 with tomato-cucumber relish and garlic sauce served on warm Moroccan flatbread. But wait, because this isn’t REALLY new. It’s really just the meat from the kabobs we’ve had in years past…served in a wrap. Oh, TRICKY Disney. But you know what? We’ll let it slide because it’s good. Also, you get a choice of meat — we went with the lamb and falafel wrap. This is one of the EPCOT Food & Wine snacks that feels lighter and healthier than some of the heavier dishes at other spots. The cucumber relish added a nice herby touch, while the garlic sauce was creamy and flavorful. The falafel was also fluffy with a nice crispy exterior.
The other main dishes are all returning.
Last year, we enjoyed both of the kebabs — chicken and lamb — but found the chicken to be the overall winner. This year, you can just get this in the wrap.
The plant-based falafel was also on the menu in 2024 and in previous years. We gave it a positive review last year and called it a good plant-based option.
A standard at Tangierine Cafe, the Stone-baked Moroccan Bread with assorted dips for $5.25, is also returning this year! This has been a favorite of ours for several years.
And finally, you can round out your meal with the returning Pistachio Cake for $5 with cinnamon pastry cream and candied walnuts. This is also normally a winner at the Festival. It’s still fantastic this year. The cake is light, moist, and fluffy with a nice light pistachio flavor. The custard on top has a bit of spice to it and is creamy and silky.
The candied walnuts and the little white chocolate piece on top are also nice touches.
Drinks
The drinks at Tangierine Cafe include some returning choices, and two new hard ciders that round out a cider flight.
The Fig Cocktail for $12 is made with Kleiner Feigling Fig Liqueur and white cranberry juice, and it is a returning drink, but we had to get it again because it’s one that we really like. It’s a bit sweet, but it’s very refreshing and easy to drink. You can also get that hint of cranberry flavor, but the fig is the overall winner in the mouth. You also can’t taste the alcohol too much, so it’s fruity and light.
A hard cider flight for $12.75 is on the menu again this year, with two of the ciders NEW to the Festival.
The ciders for this year:
- Keel Farms Blackberry-Pear Hard Cider
- Keel Farms Golden Apple Chai Hard Cider (New)
- Playalinda Brewing Co. Fig, Rhubarb, Orange, and Ginger Hard Cider (New)
OVERALL
This is another one of those festival offerings that rarely disappoints. We generally like the kabobs, but we think we may like them even better now that they’ve become wraps. This is especially a good spot to hit if you want something a little lighter and healthier. Also, don’t skip out on the Fig Cocktail…it’s just the thing you need on a hot Florida day.
