If you are reading this post while hungry, BE WARNED. Seriously, we’re not joking! You’re willing to keep reading? OK, well then — we’ve got some DELICIOUS details to share with you!
The 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has officially opened, and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you, we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — the Forest & Field food booth– to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!
Menu
You’ll find Forest & Field between the World Showcase and the Imagination! pavilion in a new little area Disney is calling Harvest Hollow. Autumn Chili, Pumpkin Mascarpone Ravioli, and Schiacciata Sandwich with seasonal fall fruit make up the food offerings here.
The beverage menu features LDaou Vineyards Chardonnay, Famille Hugel Classic Pinot Noir, and Brewery Ommegang All Hallows Treat Chocolate Peanut Butter Imperial Stout.
Let’s see what Forest & Field has to offer when it comes to fall flavors!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Autumn Chili. Last year it was made with bison, lamb, pork belly, root vegetables, jalapeño cornbread, smoked cheddar, and Crème Fraîche. This year, is a plant-based iteration, made with IMPOSSIBLE Beef with root vegetables, plant-based cheddar, and plant-based sour cream in a bread bowl for $6.50
This was a filling and hearty dish (if not a little heavy on a hot summer day), but we loved it. How does this plant-based cousin of last year’s meat fest hold up?
We found it to be very similar to Skyline Chili, if you’ve ever had that brand before. There were notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and other warming spices, which you usually don’t get in a plant-based dish. The chili itself was on the dry side — it didn’t really soak into the bread bowl at all, which was a smidge disappointing (that’s all the fun of a bread bowl!). But overall, we still really loved it as a plant-based dish because it was elevated, sophisticated in flavors, and came with a whole lotta bread!
It’s truly PUMPKIN SEASON in these parts, and Forest & Field contributes to the fall festivities with Pumpkin Mascarpone Ravioli, which is made with brown butter vinaigrette, pecorino cheese, pomegranate seeds, and hazelnut praline. It costs $5.50.
Grab this cheesy bite of autumn as part of Emile’s Fomage Montage. This little dish packed a BIG punch last year and was on our Best of the Fest list! How does it measure up this year?
The ravioli were incredibly tender, and the butter topping brought some nice caramelization. The hazelnut praline was sweet to balance out the earthiness of the pumpkin. Everything was just very harmonious and delicious. This is definitely one of the strongest pasta dishes at the festival.
And now for a little something NEW! Yup, we’re digging into the Schiacciata Sandwich. This new sandwich is made with Mortadella, prosciutto ham, sun-dried peppers, arugula, stracciatella cheese, fall squash mostarda, and pistachio pesto on warm focaccia, for only $6.25.
This sandwich was reminiscent of a Caprese, but with added heartiness from the Mortadella and prosciutto. It balanced savory and sweet excellently, and was a nice, lighter option on a hot Florida day. The foccacia seasonings helped enhance the overall flavor spread. Our only complaint is that the bread was a little dry. Probably a 4/5 stars here.
What about the beverages?
Drinks
This returning beverage is especially intriguing as we come into Spooky Season… the Brewery Ommegang All Hallows Treat Chocolate Peanut Butter Imperial Stout.
Brewery Ommegang is located in Cooperstown, New York, and you can try this unique Stout for $5.75 for 6 ounces or $9.75 for 12 ounces. Last year, we enjoyed this, though we didn’t taste too much of the peanut butter — it was almost an aftertaste.
Daou Vineyards Chardonnay is also available for $6.50, and so is Famille Hugel Classic Pinot Noir for $6.50. Both are new to the Festival!
The Pinot Noir wasn’t heavy, which was nice for the hot weather. However, it lacked richness of flavor.
The Chardonnay leaned dry but didn’t have a very deep profile either. Perfectly drinkable, but not memorable. Neither of these drinks was much to write home about.
So how did this booth fare overall?
OVERALL
Ultimately, Forest & Field was a big hit! The drinks here are fine, but the food is where the menu really shines. The chili is an excellent dish for plant-based eaters, and even meat eaters may really enjoy it. The ravioli is a must-try for us, and even the sandwich was shockingly good.
So if you find yourself visiting the festival this year, you probably don’t want to skip out on this spot!
That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
