You’ll want to follow this one rule for each ride you do at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

We’re back at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the most popular after-hours events at Disney World. It brings spooky fun, exclusive entertainment, and trick-or-treating to Magic Kingdom. Guests of all ages get to dress up, collect candy, and enjoy shorter wait times for rides while the park transforms into a Halloween wonderland. From the Boo-to-You Parade to the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, the party is packed with special experiences you won’t find during the day. But there’s something you should know before you fill your treat bag!
One of the highlights of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the candy. Guests are given a free treat bag when they enter the party, and throughout the night, you’ll find several treat locations set up across Magic Kingdom. Cast Members don’t hold back either! They’re known to hand out generous scoops of candy at every stop. By the end of the night, your little bag of treats can turn into a mountain.

This year’s trick-or-treat bag!
But here’s the catch: All that candy has to go somewhere, and once you start hitting the rides, it can become a problem. Roller coasters like Space Mountain or even Seven Dwarfs Mine Train can send unsecured bags flying or, at the very least, spilling. A lap full of M&M’s or a queue full of Skittles isn’t exactly the kind of Halloween magic Disney has in mind, and it’s definitely not something you want to deal with in the dark.

The rule is simple but important: Make sure your candy is secure before you board any ride. Whether you bring a backpack, zip-top bag, or even double up by putting your Disney treat bag inside a sturdier tote, you’ll thank yourself later. That way, you can enjoy the thrills of Space Mountain or the swerves of the Mad Tea Party without worrying about leaving a sugary trail behind you. After all, the only thing sweeter than all that free candy is making sure it makes it safely back to your hotel.
