Disney Cruise Line is notifying customers that the launch of a new cruise ship — the Disney Adventure — will be several months behind schedule.
The maiden voyage of Disney’s latest ship — originally scheduled for December 15th, 2025 — has been rescheduled for March 10th, 2026.
An email to customers who had booked an affected cruise was sent late on the evening of September 10th. Citing “unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process,” Disney said it will automatically refund any payments made for the cruises that have been canceled.
“To ensure every detail meets the high standards you expect from Disney, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the Disney Adventure’s maiden voyage to March 10, 2026,” Disney said in the e-mail.
Announced in November 2022, the Disney Adventure will have its home port in Singapore, and will be the first Disney Cruise Line ship to sail from Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre and throughout Southeast Asia. The Disney Adventure will primarily offer 3- and 4-night voyages.
Uniquely, the Disney Adventure will not stop in ports of call during the voyages. Even so, Disney has called this ship the “biggest adventure yet,” featuring Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories on board. Presenting seven themed areas, the Adventure will “be packed with immersive experiences and entertainment featuring beloved characters where families can create memories to last a lifetime… without ever leaving the ship!”
Marvel Landing aboard the Disney Adventure will have three rides, including Ironcycle Test Run — the first roller coaster on a Disney cruise ship.
Here’s More About the Attractions Coming to the Disney Adventure!
The Disney Adventure will offer Disney Cruise Line’s signature rotational dining. This means you’ll have three dining experiences on your vacation. Dinner will be available at the Navigator’s Club and Hollywood Spotlight Club.
Affected customers have been offered a 50% discount off a future voyage — check with your travel agent or check your e-mail for details.

Rumors throughout the Disney fan base are running at full tilt. Disney has grown to big too fast and now has too many ships competing in a shrinking customer base. I have been on !7 cruises, 14 on Disney and I don’t care for the Wish or any of the larger more recent ships. Too bad. Disney re-wrote the cruise industry and now is being devoured by the competitors. Watch for prices to fall and more deals and perks ahead for Disney. Best thing fans can do is hold off on cruising with Disney til prices drop substantially. The mouse may have jumped the shark with this ship and it just does not beat the competitors.
