We’re going to let you in on a little secret — we know when you should NOT go to Disney World this month.
September has been busy with Halloween in full swing, but this random day is just the start of the crowds. As October rolls into November and December and all the lights and Christmas trees are up around Disney World, more and more people will come to the parks, and we know when the chaos is starting.
Lightning Lanes are a great way to skip the lines for your favorite attractions during those busy days. The prices of Lightning Lanes change depending on the demand, so on the days Disney is expecting more people, the prices go up, up, up.
We keep track of all the Lightning Lane prices so you can better plan for your trip, and so far, we’ve found three dates that have a massive increase in Magic Kingdom, and unfortunately, this likely means it’s just the beginning of price increases.
Check out these prices in Magic Kingdom:
- September 30th
- $419 — Lightning Lane Premier Pass
- $27 — Lightning Lane Multi Pass
- $13 — Lightning Lane Single Pass for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- $21 — Lightning Lane Single Pass for TRON Lightcycle / Run
- October 1st
- $419 — Lightning Lane Premier Pass
- $32 — Lightning Lane Premier Pass
- $14 — Lightning Lane Single Pass for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- $22 — Lightning Lane Single Pass for TRON Lightcycle / Run
- October 4th
- $429 — Lightning Lane Premier Pass
- $37 — Lightning Lane Premier Pass
- $14 — Lightning Lane Single Pass for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- $22 — Lightning Lane Single Pass for TRON Lightcycle / Run
Lightning Lane Premier Pass allows you to go onto any attraction with a Lightning Lane entry with no prior planning or reservations. If you’re someone who likes to make sure you get it all done, this is going to be the pass for you!
In September, the cheapest Premier Pass we saw was $329, so the jump to $419 and $429 is huge. This usually means Disney is expecting large crowds on this date from past year’s numbers, so if you can avoid Magic Kingdom on these days, it might be for the best.

We’re going to continue keeping our eyes on the numbers, but a huge jump for Premier Pass might be the sign that Disney World is about to get a whole lot busier and that the holiday crowds are here. Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more.
