When there are bakeries, patisseries, and donut shops all in the same shopping and dining district, what’s a person to do? Do we get a cookie at Gideon’s Bakehouse? A donut from Everglazed? Dessert at Homecomin’? It’s the best and worst problem to have all at the same time. As you can see, deciding where to get dessert in Disney Springs is a VERY difficult decision.
However, if you’ve got dietary restrictions, there’s ONE place to go that will often outshine the allergy-friendly options at other Disney Springs locations, and that’s Erin McKenna’s Bakery! This bakery has only vegan, gluten-free, and kosher bakery items, and they just added three new fall treats for the season. Are they worth the visit? Our vote is a resounding YES!
Erin McKenna’s Bakery is located in The Landing section of Disney Springs and serves up many different kinds of desserts that are all gluten-free, kosher, and vegan! We’ve tried many treats here over the years, but now it’s time to try out the three new offerings they have for the fall season.
First up was the Caramel Cinnamon Cupcake, which is a Toastie cupcake with caramel buttercream, a cinnamon sugar rim, and sugar cookie crumb topping for $8.75.
The cupcake base was a bit on the dry side, but it had a nice apple flavor that was spiced well with cinnamon. It’s topped with a creamy buttercream that has a nice caramel flavor that complements the spiced apple base. It’s overall very tasty, and we think it’s a great fall treat, although a little on the expensive side, even for this bakery.
Then it was time for the Pumpkin Tea Cake for $9.45, which is a pumpkin cake with vanilla cream topping.
This one was super moist and a bit on the denser side (in a good way!). We thought it had a great texture, and we loved that you can really taste the pumpkin in it — it tastes like pumpkin puree with some fall spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. The light topping of vanilla buttercream on top adds a bit of extra sweetness, which we enjoyed. It does taste more like a pumpkin bread to us, but that’s not bad in our book!
The final treat available is the Pumpkin Cinnamon Sugar Donut for $6.50, which is a pumpkin donut tossed in cinnamon sugar. What’s not to like about those words put together?!
This donut was very fluffy and had a good amount of pumpkin flavor to it, and we loved that it was coated in just the right amount of cinnamon sugar. It gave the donut a nice sweetness and a bit of a crunch from the sugar, and while we do feel it was moist, it wasn’t AS moist as the tea cake. However, we feel this one is the best deal when it comes to pricing and the size of the treat, as it’s still filling, but is the cheapest of the three.

I had a lactose free/gluten free birthday cake made for my kids birthday while we were visiting Disney World. The cake was absolutely HORRIBLE!! The cake’s consistency tasted like clay. It definitely was even not a vanilla cake. I paid $105.00 for this cake! I reached out to the bakery and they will NOT even give me a partial refund!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEIR CAKES!! WILL END UP WASTING YOUR MONEY.
