Disney just announced that changes are coming to one of the most popular rides at Disney World!
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT will close on November 10th, and will reopen with an all-new 2D experience — meaning the 3D glasses will be going away.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be closed from November 10th to 13th as Disney switches things over to the new 2D system, a change from the current 3D experience. Disney also shared that new props and lighting will be added to the queue and attraction over the coming months.
Of course, in typical Disney fashion, they haven’t shared what types of props or lighting will be added, or what sort of downtime we might be expecting due to these changes.
This was something Disney previously announced was happening at the original Disneyland Paris version of the ride, so it was likely only a matter of time before the changes made their way to EPCOT as well.
The Disneyland Paris attraction will be receiving technical upgrades, scenic enhancements, new props, an enhanced queue, and more. The enhanced queue will even feature a NEW scene depicting a Parisian artist’s studio, “teeming with details and accessories such as canvases on the walls, paint splatters, and a fruit basket that may well whet the appetite of all the adorable rats in the neighbourhood.” Disney hasn’t indicated this new scene is coming to the EPCOT ride, though.
We’ll be on the lookout for additional updates about these changes and more. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news!

No 3D??? Wow that will be terrible
No more 3D? That was so much fun : (
This is great news for people who struggle with motion sickness! I hadn’t planned on ever riding Remy again, but once the 3-D part goes away I’ll give it another try.
Oh good, the 3D experience wasn’t doing anything for me. It’s busy enough that 3D didn’t really add anything except a bit of dizzines.
There is an artist’s studio in the Epcot queue that is not in the DLP queue already.
I can’t stand the glasses because I have motion sickness and there is nothing I can do about it.
