Workers have been hard at work on Disney World’s newest hotel, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge. The new Disney Vacation Club hotel will be located on the former home of Disney’s River Country water park near Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

We have been keeping a close eye on the construction progress, and @bioreconstruct recently posted some exciting new photos. The hotel has really started taking shape, and we can also see the NEW POOL! It is hard to beat a day sitting poolside at your Disney World hotel, so we are excited to see the pool begin to take shape.
The new hotel is expected to open in 2027, so we still have a while before it is completed. However, watching the hotel be built is always fun! The new photos from @bioreconstruct even give us a glimpse at the hotel’s pool. It is in the early stages of being built, but we can see it nestled in between the wings of the hotel.

You can also get a different view of the pool area from a photo looking straight down at the hotel. Guests might even be able to relax in the pool while watching Magic Kingdom’s fireworks! That would be a pretty great way to end a day at Disney World.

There was also a picture showing Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge (bottom of picture) amongst the other Magic Kingdom hotels like Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (on the left), Disney’s Contemporary Resort (on the right), and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (at the top of the picture).

There is still a lot to be done before the hotel welcomes its first guests, but we will keep you updated as more progress is made on this new hotel and Disney releases more information. The hotel will be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.” We have spotted Bambi, Flower, and Thumper from Disney’s Bambi and Pocahontas in concept art for the hotel. However, Disney hasn’t released too many details about what to expect quite yet!
