If you saw my closet, you would be shocked by how many Disney World souvenirs I have hanging up. Next to my Taylor Swift cardigan collection (hey, I have priorities), I have buckets of Mickey ears, far too many Disney World sweatshirts for someone who lives in Florida, and baseball hats for every single park and niche occasion.

Disney just showed us a preview of a new outdoor themed collection, and I feel like I’m back in summer camp after seeing all the pieces!
Meet the brand-new Expedition Mickey Mouse collection, which was created with Bret Iwan, the voice of Mickey Mouse since 2009. The collection will launch as a special event at Disney Springs in Disney World on November 1st, but this preview gives us a look into why Disney designed this collection and what hidden details to look for.

Iwan says, “This is the very first collection where it’s entirely my vision. I did all of the artwork, but I was also involved in making decisions about the color, fabric, textures, stitching, and overall construction.”

He takes his role as Mickey Mouse very seriously. He knows Mickey’s entire history and legacy, what he would and wouldn’t say, and even how he thinks. He wanted to bring that mindset into the collection, where he was aware of the many details that make something iconic.

Iwan himself is a huge fan of National Parks and outdoor living. He mostly wears boots, denim, flannel, and lots of layers, and he brought that idea to the collection. He says the collection consists of pieces he wants for his own closet.

One of the hidden details he shared was that in the short-sleeved button-down, you can catch glimpses of a few park icons like Big Thunder Mountain, The Matterhorn, and Everest.

The entire collection was created specifically for Disney Parks, and Iwan spoke about how he wanted the feeling of an immersive experience and how “this collection adds one more layer to someone’s visit. One more layer to their park’s story.”

Don’t forget to check out the collection at Disney Springs on November 1st for the launch and a special Artist Showcase with Bret Iwan. There will be a live Q&A with Iwan at the AdventHealth Waterside Stage, followed by a meet-and-greet at Disney’s Wonderful World of Memories, where you can receive a pre-signed item.

Very nice but….Sadly these are all cut for men. Wish they had made some tees and sweatshirts cut for women.
