Have you ever dreamed of going to Remy’s restaurant, which is seen at the end of Disney Pixar’s Ratatouille? Well, what if we told you that you can go there! We’re talking, straight out of the movie, a fully immersive Ratatouille dining experience!

Bistrot Chez Remy!
We recently stopped by Bistrot Chez Remy at Walt Disney Studios Park, all the way in Paris! We couldn’t go all that way and not dine at the place that is meant to be there. We had lots to eat, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop for those travelling to Disneyland Paris?
Atmosphere
When we say this restaurant looked like it was pulled from the movie, we really mean it! We had to wait a little outside as there was a line for this popular dining spot. The doors had cute nods to Remy on them, and you could even see the iconic sign of Remy holding a wooden spoon similar to the one you see in the movie.

Outside Chez Remy
Inside, they had lots of decorations up showcasing the success of Remy and his restaurant.

Inside
We loved all the big and little details!

Giant menu!
You really started to feel immersed when you saw Remy’s big cookbook, and plates used as backings for the booths. We felt like we were now the size of a rat!

The theming was amazing — there was a giant pot on the ceiling, Christmas lights everywhere, drink umbrellas…

…and wine caps as the seats.

There was also a giant bottle of Ego’s wine!

But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
Let’s open up the menu featuring Remy on it, and see what they have cookin’ here.

The menu
You have a few menu options to choose from — which come with starters, main courses, and desserts. You can choose between the Rémy Menu, the Émile Menu, or the Little Chef Menu for the kiddos. The Rémy Menu is €45 and comes with a starter and main course. The Émile Menu is €55, and comes with a starter, main course, and dessert — wine can be added to make it €75.

Let’s take a look!
There are also a few different drinks to choose from here — they all looked so good!

Drink menu
There were lots of wines, champagnes, and other drinks to choose from.

And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
We decided to go for the Rémy Menu for €45 (we got two), which gives you a choice for a Starter and Main Course. The reason we decided to go for this instead of the Émile Menu, which comes with a dessert, is because we had a special dessert in mind that we wanted to get that wasn’t on the Émile Menu.
Let’s get into the starters! First, we tried the Pear, Chestnut, and Duck Pâté en Croûte, Fig Marmalade. After the first few bites, we thought it was fine. However, the more we ate it, the more we actually started to enjoy it. Sometimes pâté can come hot, and sometimes it can come cold; ours came cold.

Pear, Chestnut, and Duck Pâté en Croûte, Fig Marmalade
It was a little bit try at times, but the pear and fig marmalade definitely gives this dish life. The chestnuts added an interesting crunch and texture. The duck wasn’t that dry, and it was pretty decent duck. This as a whole isn’t something we’d necessarily get again or recommend, but it wasn’t that bad — we ate all of it!

This was interesting!
The other starter we tried was the Seasonal Soup (Broccoli Soup) with The Laughing Cow and Mixed Herbs. This was INCREDIBLE! If you’re a fan of broccoli soup, you would fall in love with this. The soup was flavorful, creamy, smooth, comforting, and warm.

Seasonal Soup (Broccoli Soup) with The Laughing Cow and Mixed Herbs
The soup had laughing cow cheese on top that would melt into it, and the herbs would just slowly fall into the soup as well. You also get cheese in every bite. Honestly, bonus points because it just feels right to have a good soup while in Paris!

This was so good!
Alright, time for the main courses! Let’s start with the Grilled Steak and French Fries. You get your choice of sauce between Chef, Green Peppercorn, Brie, or Béarnaise. It was recommended to us to get the Green Peppercorn sauce, so that is what we got.

Grilled Steak and French Fries
We’ve gotten steak frites a few times while we were at Disneyland Paris, and we hate to say that this one was probably our least favorite. It was a flank steak, so it was pretty thin. It was cooked well, a nice medium with a nice pink and warm center. You could see a little salt at the center of the steak, but that was really all the seasoning on it.

It was cooked to a good medium
It just wasn’t the best steak we’ve had, unfortunately. The fries were pretty much normal, although they didn’t have a crunch to them. The peppercorn sauce was going up against some incredible competition that we’ve had during our trip, similar to the steak, and it just didn’t reach the same peak that others have.

We dipped it into the sauce
The sauce tasted more like a thin gravy, so it just wasn’t our favorite. It wasn’t terrible, we weren’t mad that we got it, we probably would just try something else next time!

It looked tasty!
The other main we got was the Roast Cod, Ratatouille, Crushed Potatoes, with Insigny PDO Beurre Blanc Sauce. To be completely honest, we were a little surprised that a pricier and fancier restaurant like this one had roast cod. That being said, there was no way we were going to pass up on a main dish that had Ratatouille with it!

Roast Cod, Ratatouille, Crushed Potatoes, with Insigny PDO Beurre Blanc Sauce
All that being said, the cod was so delicious! It was perfectly cooked, would fall apart on your fork, and it had that meaty texture. The butter sauce on the plate completely elevated the cod — it was like a butter sauce that you would get with the highest-end lobster in the U.S. It was truly SO delicious, and made the cod and potatoes taste luxurious.

This was so delicious! AND THE BUTTER SAUCE!
The ratatouille was very good as well. Our only wish with ratatouille is that we wish it were a starter that was served the way it looks in the movie. That’s what we’d all want to see! Regardless, it was great with great flavors, and tasty vegetables. We would get this dish again, hands down.

Ratatouille!
Let’s talk about dessert, because like we mentioned, we bought a separate special dessert. We had to go for the Birthday Dessert for €25. The desert is built to be shared with 2 or more people. It’s a Mickey Mousse cake!

Birthday Dessert to Share for 2 or more people
We’ll be completely honest with you…it was basically the exact same thing you would get at Disney World — although, maybe a little better! It was like a mousse cake — tasty, chocolatey, and had a little bit of a pearl crunch in it.

It was tasty!
We couldn’t resist and stop there when it came to dessert, so we added the Fromage Blanc-Raspberry Entremet, which is a dessert that looks like cheese.

Fromage Blanc-Raspberry Entremet
It was made with cottage cheese, which shocked us. The dessert was very light and airy, with a tart raspberry center.

Let’s take a bite!
We thought it was going to be sweet, but it wasn’t until you got to the raspberry — which threw us off. It’s a great dessert for people who want a dessert, but not something heavy and sweet.

It has raspberry filling
We will admit, this treat was super cute too, so it was fun to just have! Plus, how could we not get a dessert like this when dining at Remy’s restaurant?!

This is so cute!
Drinks
We got a few things to drink, starting with the French 75 for €22. This was a Champagne Pierre Mignon Disneyland Paris Special Edition – Grande Réserve – with G’vine Floraison gin, lemon juice, and cane syrup. This drink was very nice — the waitress told us that there’s a regular who goes there and orders this three times!

French 75
We think the most fun part of this is that it uses the Disneyland Paris special champagne. It was sweet, bubbly, and the lemon juice added a nice acidic tartness to it. The cane syrup didn’t taste like fake sugar, which we liked. We would definitely recommend this!

We loved this!
Next, we got the Bordeaux for €8,5. This is the special wine that was made for Chez Remy, which was really cool. This was such a good wine, like a peak wine! Bordeaux is a very famous French wine varietal. This was a dry red that left a pleasant dry feeling on your tongue and in your mouth.

Bordeaux
It had fruitiness on the palette, yet no over-sweetness from the fruit. It also had a pleasant light pepperiness to it. All in all, it was just a very good wine that we would 100% get again!

This was an amazing wine!
Lastly, we got Ze Pomcorn for €14. This had a popcorn flavored syrup, caramel flavored syrup, apple juice, and Perrie — interesting right?! This might be the GREATEST kids’ drink that you can get ANYWHERE!

Ze Pomcorn
The popcorn flavor syrup literally smacks you in the mouth in a shockingly pleasant way. The apple juice was crisp, and the drink was slightly bubbly to top it off. This was CRAZY sweet, but we downed it so fast! Yeah, we loved this!

Look how fun this drink is!
Nosh or Not
This Disneyland Paris restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You want to try something new and different! It goes without saying that different countries will offer different tastes, and we like some of the adventurous stuff on the menu here.
- You want something familiar! On the contrary, there are some things here that you’ll be familiar with, like the steak and fries. It gives the restaurant a variety of unique and familiar foods, which is nice.
- You want to try Ratatouille! If you want to try the famous dish from the Pixar movie, this is your place!
You should skip this Disneyland Paris spot if…
- You want something cheaper! This dining spot is a little pricier, like those high-end Disney World restaurants. That being said, when you travel all the way to Paris, you don’t want to miss out on a cool dining experience you won’t get anywhere else.
- You’re pickier! Yes, there are some things on the menu here that are “picky eater friendly”, but if you’re picky, you may want to try somewhere else.
Overall
This was an extremely fun environment to be in! You felt like you were shrunk down in size, and the food here was good enough that we’d want to come back and get more. We wish we had this dining spot at Disney World, but the diversity in all the Disney Parks does encourage people to check out the other parks around the world.

I love this restaurant! It’s what makes the Ratatouille ride better than in WDW. At the end of the ride in Paris, you see the restaurant.
