It’s no fun to get to Disneyland and realize your favorite ride is closed, but it happens. Now, we can’t do much to control ride closures that happen ON THE DAY, whether that’s due to weather or some kind of issue with the ride, but we can give you a heads up on scheduled ride closures, so that’s what we’re going to do.
So if you’re headed to Disneyland in early December, you’ll want to know about this popular ride closure: Indiana Jones Adventure will be closed on December 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for refurbishment (probably just routine ride maintenance).
According to Disneyland’s calendar, the ride will be closed on those three days, but will reopen on December 4th. So if you’re visiting during that time, keep in mind that you won’t be able to ride on those three specific days, and plan accordingly.
Important: Previously, the closure appeared to only be on December 2nd and 3rd. The calendar seems to be updated now, and the closure now begins on December 1st.
These kinds of short ride closures are common when a ride needs maintenance, so it’s nothing to be worried about. You’ll be able to go on an adventure with Indiana Jones inside the Temple of the Forbidden Eye again. In the meantime, if you’re still feeling adventurous, you can always go on the funniest river cruise ever on Jungle Cruise or sail the high seas with pirates on Pirates of the Caribbean.
Once the ride does reopen, you can probably expect long lines for it. In my personal experience, this is a good ride to rope drop to skip the lines, although the single rider line also has much shorter wait times. Otherwise, you might want to consider purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass to set a time to ride it with a shorter wait.
We’ll keep you updated on other ride closures, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

Dang! Would’ve been nice to have more notice – Thanks, Disney! We’ve had our DL trip for 12/1 – 12/4 booked for months now. Hope Indy comes back online on the 4th as expected, since it’s my #2 favorite ride ever (behind ROTR).
I am anxious to see what the differences and improvements are between the two coasts. I just hope it is less violent than Dinosaur do than young and older fans can enjoy it.
