When you’re headed out the door of your Disney World hotel room on your way to the parks, the first thing that might come to your mind is, “What are we grabbing for breakfast?” Maybe you’ve decided on a plan the night before that included making a stop at the hotel’s quick-service spot to grab a quick brekky, but we want to give a word of warning before you rush off.
Every Disney World hotel has a quick-service dining facility that offers breakfast options. The Value Resorts all have food courts, while the Moderate and Deluxe Resorts offer quick-service restaurants. These can be great places to grab a little meal before hitting the parks, but you’ll definitely want to heed this warning if you do plan on stopping there.
As you’re leaving your hotel to go to your transportation of choice to the parks (monorail, bus, boat, or Skyliner), consider the fact that so is everyone else at your hotel. It is VERY likely that many others at your hotel have the same idea as you to stop at the hotel’s quick-service location for a bite to eat.
So keep in mind that the dining location you’re planning to stop at for breakfast will likely be very crowded at 7 AM with everyone who had the same idea as you. Lines to order, pickup, and pay for food will likely be long.
Normally, a great way to skip the lines at dining locations is to use Mobile Order, but when it comes to breakfast at the hotel spots, it may take longer than you would typically expect it to. A lot of people will be trying to use the Mobile Order system, so it may get backed up and not be quite as quick as you’re hoping.
A way to help this issue is to click “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” BEFORE you have actually arrived at the restaurant. This way, they will begin to prep it while you’re still walking there, and you’ll have a little bit of a shorter wait once you’re there.
You can also put your order in advance for a select arrival time. This will help the process be a little quicker, though the arrival time options may become limited quickly if a lot of people are using mobile order.
If you’re hoping to grab a quick breakfast at your Disney World hotel before making your way to the parks (which isn’t a bad idea), we do recommend going a little earlier than you might have planned to dodge those heavy crowds. This will give you extra wiggle room to catch the bus, monorail, boat, or Skyliner and still get to the park for rope drop.
