Disneyland Paris is one of the most controversial Disney parks. While it is gorgeous, some aspects of the resort have failed to live up to our expectations.

Disney Hotel Santa Fe
During our stay, we stopped by two official Disney hotels. The first was their newest retheme at Hotel New York — The Art of Marvel. The second was the resort’s Cars-themed Hotel Santa Fe! Now, we’re taking a drive over for a tour of the rooms and resort, and we’re bringing you along with us. Ka-chow!
Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe is dedicated as a “colorful homage to Route 66.” The entire resort is inspired by the American Southwest and the Cars film. When we first pulled up, we spotted a large billboard of Lightning McQueen and Sally to greet us. We were excited to say the least.

Lightning McQueen and Sally!
This resort does feature a large, official Starbucks location, which is a huge plus. Not even the Art of Marvel hotel had that!

The Starbucks!
The resort is painted in colors like terracotta, red, orange, yellow, and more. Plus, the sidewalks look like roads! You can even spot little details of trees, cacti, and more along the buildings.

The outside!
The hallways are simple with bright colors on the walls and carpet on the floors. This can make it tough if you’re pulling a heavy bag! There are elevators at the resort, but we had trouble finding them if we’re being super transparent. It was also late at night, so we will admit we gave up the search pretty quickly.

The hallways!
Here’s a look inside the “Revved-up room,” which is the standard room at this resort. According to the website, the standard room is the only room type at this hotel.

The standard room!
When you first enter the room, you’ll spot the closet behind the door. It’s an open closet with two shelves, several hangers, and a safe for you. This is where most of our things stayed once we were unpacked and settled.

The closet!
The room features two queen beds, which were pretty firm with two pillows on each. Like most Parisian hotel rooms, it was also pretty toasty inside, so if you like to sleep like a true American (with a fan), you might want to bring your own.

Two Queen Beds
The beds feature a detailed sheet with characters from the film, including Lightning McQueen, Doc Hudson, Mater, Mac, Sally, and Luigi.

A closer look at the details!
Above the beds, there are soft, glowing lights that look like traffic cones and license plates.

The lights!
There is a photo of Mater on the wall, but be quiet! He’s sleeping! This is the same art you can find in Art of Animation Cars family suites.

Shh! He’s sleeping!
Underneath the beds, there was enough room for your bags. This room wasn’t huge, so the three people in our group had to get pretty creative with where to leave our things! This isn’t too different from a Disney World value suite.

Underneath the beds!
In between the beds, you can find a small nightstand. It had a phone, the remote for the TV, and information about the resort. Notably, the only outlets by the bed were behind the table and were being used by the phone.

The table
Across from the beds, you can find a dresser with a lamp, TV, and chair.

Another look at the room!
Even the mirror and lamp were shaped like a traffic cone, which we thought was super cute! The TV also had Disney+ on it, which you could watch even if you didn’t have a subscription as part of the resort’s perks. There was only one outlet by the dresser.

The dresser!
There was also a small desk area with a mirror for a spot to get ready. There was an outlet next to this vanity area for even more places to charge your things.

The vanity area
Across from the small closet, you’ll find the bathroom! It’s simple with a sink, a large mirror, and lots of space underneath the sink for storage. Above the toilet, there was also a large shelf where we could store more bags and toiletries.

Inside the bathroom!
There were cups, tissues, and a bar of soap for you to use as needed.

The small items!
There’s also a hair dryer built into the wall, so you have one less thing to plug in and pack.

The hair dryer!
The shower also doubles as a bathtub for you or your kiddos. The tiles along the wall mirror the checkered flag, and the shower curtain features the flags! There’s a body soap attached to the wall along with a shelf with the towels.

The shower!
The resort also provides two smaller bottles of shampoo and conditioner that are themed to the hotel.

Shampoo and Conditioner
Overall, the room was simple and was great for our group, who spent most of our time in the parks.

Another view of the room!
For this room, we paid just over $1,000 for three people for three nights, excluding our park tickets. When booking your room at Disneyland Paris, booking online includes your park tickets. We had to call the resort to book the room only.

The hotel!
The resort was clean (although the bathroom was not totally up to our normal Disney expectations), had a restaurant, bar, and Starbucks, and was only a 15-20 minute walk from the parks. It also included a free shuttle to the parks if you prefer not to walk. In the morning, it was quicker for us to walk than to wait for the shuttle.

Another look at the resort!
Staying on the property also gives you access to Extra Magic Time, which is an extra hour in the park! It isn’t overly themed, but kiddos will be pleased to see the nods to the movie throughout the resort. Unless you’re traveling with a big Cars fan, we would recommend trying one of the closer hotels or one that costs a bit less. All in all? It was fine. TINY! My family could not stay in that matchbox. I thought they would have been copies of the family suites at Art of Animation. No such luck!
Hi Beautiful Gorgeous. The rooms here wouldn’t be a copy of the Art of Animation suites as the Santa Fe was built 20 years earlier than AoA. Whilst it’s easy to stay in WDW for 3 weeks and still not manage to do everything, in DLP we usually only stay 4 or 5 nights so time in the room is limited. Saying that though, Santa Fe is the only DLP hotel that I’ve never stayed at (though I had dinner there once) so I was surprised by the lack of space in the photos. It is a value hotel though.
